Dropped in to have a look, all high intensity movement and closing down fast.

Early balls into the box drills and snap shooting.

Looked more fun than sessions I’ve seen in the past despite a biting wind.

Stendal is super enthusiastic and gets involved shooting practice and encourages constantly.

Halkett was fulling involved in the session but Meshino was indoor on the bikes 🤷‍♂️
Let’s do those thugs tomorrow never forget the Hampdump semis 🤢

HHGH 👏

Commented on it at the time before we knew what was going to happen. Remains disgraceful even with footballers often being credited with low intelligence

Same. Was pretty disappointed to see those at the beginning not really give him the time of day and not standing to shake his hand. Berra should have been taking him round though, introducing him to everyone 1 by 1.

Showed a total lack of leadership, looked like the dressing room had a big divide down it, and it honestly looked like a really awkward place to be.

I'm sure Stendel took note that Smith was the first one to stand up to greet him though.

Meshino has played 3 games in ten days in U23's and just back, so make sense to avoid any hard training.

Stendel fully aware of meshinos capabilities.

Likely on the bench tomorrow and just come on with 10 mins left when we are 4 up.

Sorry if I've missed it in all the top quality posts but did I read someone is currently training with us and do we know who he is?

Apologies if peebles moment.

I think DS himself said something about that in the presser.

I don't think he did - I think he said it is not as though I can tell you there is someone training with us and ready to sign.

I am not 100% sure mind and may be talking rubbish so sorry if I am.

Thanks for that.

From that clip it’s pretty obvious no-one stands to shake his hand prior to Michael Smith. Piss poor and I’ll bet there are a few who cringing about it now.

If I was Berra I would have been standing in the middle of the room to greet him and shake his hand first. The new manager needs to know who the captain is, not by knowing his name, but by seeing his presence.

Exactly this. Actually very bad manners and showing no respect which is a bit"pot and kettle" considering Berra's comments after he was told he could find another club

Roughly a goal every 3.5 games.

Just back from Oriam. No sign of any players or management. Didn’t see any of their cars there either. Must all be at the airport welcoming Donis?

2nd day after game rest?

Laslo introduced it when he was here.  Come in on Sundy for light session, full day off Monday as this is when your muscles need the rest.

Some clubs adjust training times depending on when they have a game as it helps the body prepare correctly.   No point in training at 0900 if the game is at 1945 as you can also adjust the time of meals to suit what is needed.

I think it was Jimmy Hill who introduced training at 3 o clock when he was manager at Coventry I think. Didn't go down well.

*Some or parts of the above may be correct

Jimmy Hill ahead of his time sounds funny.

But it's probably true and regarding the tv side of things.

Big part of our problem and I mean the Scottish approach has been lack of discipline when training .

John Collins at hibs as an example.

Or even watching young players who come through who dont work on the poorer sides of their game.

Or who have a trick but dont expand on that.

Neilson had them in training twice did he no?

I have thought our fitness has been a bit lacking at the start of the season.

Actually loads of things!

He had a reputation as an all-round innovator in football: as well as helping to get rid of the maximum wage, he commissioned the first English all-seater stadium, lifted a ban on media interviews, introduced the first electronic scoreboard in 1964, the first colour matchday programme and in 1965 Coventry were the first club to show a live match via CCTV on four giant screens.[24] He has been credited with the introduction of the three points for a win system, pioneered by The Football Association in 1981.[25] He was also credited with the idea of using a panel of football pundits for the 1970 World Cup

Did/does, Lee Clarke not change the times of his training when games are different kick off times?

Positive Kris Boyd on Sportsound always going mental at this, when Clarke was in charge at Kilmarnock.

Boyd said the players hated it, as they had to seek baby sitters etc... due to time changes(more likely they couldn't get to the golf course.)

Jimmy's influence in football is unmeasurable. The abolishion of the maximum which led to Bosman many years later(The players should be on their knees for this), 3 points for a win, all seated stadiums, electronic scoreboards, The modern football match program, TV coverage changed. He was also a qualified referee who officiated an Arsenal v Liverpool game and ran the line at Coventry or Fulham when at both games the official became unwell or injured. I'm sure there's much more to this man's CV.

Jimmy Hill is a Legend and a good guy anaw.

Yes I know he said something stupid, once.
