What is the alleged reason?

It’s defamatory and has been alluded to numerous times. I won’t be repeating it.

I've mentioned him even before CL was appointed but I think he has a fair bit left on his contract with England.

If nothing else I'd imagine he has some good contacts for players.

England’s U21’s performed poorly in the summer so you never know. Before this year he was doing an excellent job. He might want to hang on and try to follow the Southgate route to the top. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t a great player and I don’t think the FA would have the balls to appoint him in the top job.

David moyes with Naismith as assistant would work! Mind you moyes is a multi millionaire so does he need the stress?

Salary expectations rule him out.

Certainly doesn’t need the money.

Currently under investigation for domestic abuse so that's that ruled out for now

Will never happen, but someone like Mikael Arteta.

Someone like Mikael Arteta who isn’t assistant manager at the worlds richest club and on a reported salary of 4m pa?

So glad you opened with the ‘will never happen but’ line, mate. 👍🏻

🤣, is that not what the cash cow was for?

Meant someone along the lines of Arteta, eg similar to Gerrard and Lampard, well respected pro and potential to become a top manager.

Only downside to this would be the risk factor after the disastrous start to the season.

Heard they’ve been talking to Moyes thanks to the Naismith connection. Not sure how much weight I’d put on the source but **** knows!

I just hope that what has happened because of poor management decisions at the last two appointments we give this one a really serious consideration and make a good appointment. The eyes of the support are on you ms Budge don't F it up again!

Household name and starting off in his career would be good for us. Gerrard love him or hate him has been good for Rangers.  Thierry Henry is out of work. :cornette_dog:

Robinson shortening again, to be honest the betting on managers is a joke, they won't accept a decent bet on anyone. When John Hughes got the Inverness job I tried to get a bet on Paul Telfer as I heard through friends he was being interviewed. He wasn't quoted in the betting so I called a couple of bookmakers quoting the market and I was offered 4/1... but the maximum they would take is £10! Pathetic, although it did save me money in the end tbf.

From the list, Gemmill would be an interesting choice

from those not on list

Gareth Ainsworth from Wycombe

Michael Flynn from Newport

Joey Barton from Fleetwood

Simon Grayson from Blackpool

Nigel Clough from Burton

Michael Duff from Cheltenham

Paul Hurst from Scunthorpe

What about Micky Mellon at Tranmere.  He got back to back promotions with them, also earlier in his career took Fleetwood to 2 promotions during their rise up the divisions.  He's also Scottish, so might fancy a return to his homeland.

Moyes or O'Neil from that list. Massively doubt they'd come here though.

The rest of them are woefully uninspiring.

Doesn’t make good reading that list.

Although Paul Hartley was at the Aberdeen game and I did wonder why considering he’s away up the highlands these days and it was a 19:45 kick off. 🧐

Is he not the boss of Cove Rangers who are based in Aberdeen?!?

If we were to appointment an existing Premier League manager, it would be my choice.   But I think we need to be more ambitious.  Our vacancy is an attractive one.

That actually makes depressing reading but it is what it is.  Don’t let our current position fool anyone, this is a fantastic opportunity to manage a great club.

Agree its a bit of a ghoul pool..

Someone else will hopefully come foward. Shame Neil Warnock is retiring as he fancied it... Jose's been learning Scottish apparently! LOL!

I thought about him, but really don't see him fitting in with the ethos of the club, what with his criminal past and pending court case for his latest 'alleged' assault.

David moyes is light years away from the rest and if we could get him it would be fantastic! But maybe he thinks he’s bigger than the club!

Couple that with the fact he’s a total walloper! Not even close to the type Ann budge would consider!
