I would be very surprised if the silent majority, who seem to have been continually ignored these past 4-5 years, do not make their feelings more strongly heard at the ballot box come 12th December, on what is unfortunately, going to be a single issue General Election.

32 seats across the UK where Tories hold a majority of less than 2,500 over Labour in 2nd place last time out.

2 seats across the UK where the Tories hold a majority of less than 2,500 over LibDems in 2nd place last time out.

27 seats across the UK where Labour hold a majority of less than 2,500 over Tories in 2nd place last time out.

1 seat across the UK where Labour hold a majority of less than 2,500 over LibDems in 2nd place last time out.

5 seats across the UK where LibDems hold a majority of less than 2,500 over last Election's winners.

5 seats in Scotland where Tories were less than 2,500 votes behind the SNP.

12 seats in Scotland where Labour were less than 2,500 votes behind the SNP.

7 seats in Scotland where the SNP were less than 2,500 votes behind last Election's winners.

102 seats across the UK where the majority for any party was less than 2,500 last time out.

Fine margins everywhere.

This is already doing the rounds by pro unionist's, on how to tactically vote out the SNP.

A few very close calls from the last GE

It's going to be a very bitter run up to Christmas.

I appreciate the effort but unfortunately tactical voting rarely works. Most people aren't bothered.

I agree, but with some of the small winning margins from 2017, I think it's squeaky bum time for a few of those MP's who probably thought they were comfortable for another few years at least.

I think you are maybe missing the bigger picture in Scotland when it comes to the issue of Nationalism and Brexit.

Voters in Scottish constituencies most likely to return the "We Speak For Scotland"  voices, might feel they are left without much of a choice.

And 15 seats won in Scotland by the SNP by less than 1500 votes, with 4 of those seats being won by less than 100 votes.

Fine margins indeed.

These are just raw data from 2017's results.

Things are very different now and with UKIP exploding into full-on neo-nazism and Farage's new lot being on the scene, it's difficult to predict anything.

Especially when this election is more or less a single issue one on Brexit.

Just goes to show how close Labour came to actually winning it outright in 2017.

And, at the same time, how close the Tories were to a decent sized majority.

Data is great.

Depends what single issue people think this is about?

Scottish Nationalism and yet another referendum?

Brexit yes/no

Tory/Libdem Austerity et al

Daughter and boyfriend SNP converts tonight. She was going to vote Labour as doesn't want Brexit but advised her they're a duplicitous, untrustworthy party who don't care much for Scotland. Easily done as I was ex Labour. Told her to read about the enlightenment etc but had already done it at school a few years ago. Hopefully get that bint Jardine out of Edinburgh West.

Not when a Tory is saying it, because as we all know, they can't be trusted.

I didn't Zlat. She asked my opinion and I explained it in basic terms. She's not political and I don't talk about much as the wife is either a tory or a Lib!

It's my view that no election should be taking place before Brexit.

All that's going to happen is it will be all about Brexit and the many other important issues will be ignored as has happened ever since that bloody referenfum three years ago.

I dislike the Tories but at least if they win they will be held responsible for the carnage that follows.

Labour should focus on domestic issues and not get drawn into a bun fight over Brexit. This applies especially in their Brexit voting areas in the North of England.

Successful at raping and pillaging every continent on the planet, yes. Absorb to changes, like it has to the last two referendums? Dead in the water, it’s when not if.

The nationalists have been taking the people of Scotland for granted, and they have got too comfortable doing so.

A lot of voters in Scotland don't care for them and their shtick.

One things for sure, the people of Scotland hate the Tories even more.

The only thing worse than people talking about you, is people not talking about you.

Brexit has now tilted the decision maker of the UK to the extreme right and for now we all go for a wee runabout on the right-wing of society.
