Can't get beat.

If we win this, our form is 1 defeat in 7.

If Walker, Damour, White and Naismith can play a part, come through unscathed, then suddenly Sunday doesn't look to bleak.

Get beat.

1 win in 11 league games, Likley second bottom.

Not even a win on Sunday could save him, Surley?

Without Naismith or walker I struggle to see the goals, but this game I think it will be just the 1 goal anyway that separates the sides, so why not us.

1 - 0, Clare.

Damour, Walker and Naismith to play the last 30 mins.

White to start.

Go into Sunday with a tiny bit of a  swagger and a few players back.

CL seems to have wright's number as well, reversed our shite form v them to something at least respectable.

Regardless of what happens tomorrow, a win on Sunday and he'll lead us out in the final, deserved or otherwise.

I think we'll beat St Johnstone and 4 points from 2 tough away games is ok, despite the 10 men.

Question whether some have the stomach for what will be a battle.

Its just our luck that they get their first win at the weekend so their tails will be up. Couple that with the fact there’s needle between the teams and they seem to lift themselves v us.

We say it a lot these days but it’s another test for us.

Naismith and Walker could be involved because they are NEARLY ready says the big chief.

Could the 24 hour niggle bug before a game strike again.?

If we are getting the truth for once they should be kept for Sunday.

Be good to see Naismith & Walker back, but i think they'll both be on the bench at best.

0-0 written all over it, but would be great to get a moral boosting win before the semi final,

maybe sneak 1-0 win👍hopeful

Very surprised that you think a defeat tomorrow and again on Sunday will see him gone.

I don't.

He will be here until the end of the season imo no matter what depths of despair we fall to. 😏

I never thought I'd say this...but I think Walker will be more key for us with goals & assists once he's back. What with Mulraney & Washington out.

I'm treating Naismith as a luxury & not holding out any hope of him playing 20 near enough consecutive games this season.

In fact, when he is back, I'd rather we rested him occasionally.

My thoughts too.

If Naismith does come back can't see him go on a long run of games without problems I am afraid. ☹️

 I agree, Tosh.

It’s been bleak lately but CL’s record against them is 5 wins and 2 draws.
We have every right to go into this with a degree of confidence.

Time to get rid of the shackles and start getting some results against the dross in this league.

Also time to get it right up Tommy Wright again....

Be a more open game than Saturday, Saints have a completely different style and I think there will be some goals in this game.

Sunday and 3 games in a week definitely going to play a part in team selection, hard to predict what the team will be and who is up for 3 games. 8 days rather than 6 helps a good deal, I'll go with this.

Pereira

Smith Dikamona Berra White

Damour Bozanic

Morrison Clare MacLean

Ikpeazu

Doyle Hickey Irving Keena Brandon Meshino Wighton

With Sunday in mind and rumours of a bounce match, would expect Walker and Naismith to get their minutes there and Whelan to return on Sunday when the likes of Bozanic, Clare< MacLean and Morrison will become the bench

A good chance to find out how bad we really are vs. the worst team in the league.

I’d expect us to win this game under normal circumstances, but we are that bad that we could feasibly lose this game.

My worry about your team selection would be Uche.

Three games in a week for him when he had a tight hamstring 2 or 3 weeks ago is a worry.

This guy will be huge for us on Sunday and one player we need to have in the team to have any sort of chance.

Take him off early tomorrow? Maybe if he can play an hour of both matches that is enough time to cause discomfort to the opposition and keep his legs intact

If Saints can keep the back door locked they will win. At the moment they have better players than us from midfield to front and a bit of confidence after a win. They have struggled as they have a young defence but we are so poor in forward areas they may manage to keep us at bay.  May has been quiet since his return there but a striker due a goal is a nightmare for us.

Wonder if Uche will maybe be rested for this one, with Sunday in mind.

No way.  Saints is a far bigger game.  A win on Sunday is highly unlikely, relegation fight more important.

Yip.

Imagine he breaks down.

😭

Got to play him tho.

Ideally we're 3-0 up by 60 minutes and bring on Naismith and Walker to replace him and another.

We aren't getting relegated. Win draw or get beat tommorow.

Wed is huge for CL tho.

Sunday is huge for us, chance of a final.

We’ve not even played one round of games and you have us in a relegation fight, your also telling us that St Johnstone have a better midfield .... geez peace.

The scariest part of that article is that completion of two days full training = being signed off as fit and ready to return to first team action... and we wonder why players keep on getting injured!!

I’m struggling to understand why we even bother with a pre-season, given that two days of training means you are tickety-boo and good to go,  also confused as to how Vanecek managed to fail to be judged fit enough to play in 6 months.

Just as well you're not a fitness coach then.

A draw is also Likley and like the last two draws does nothing either way for us.

When did we last win there?

Our record is poor.

In the league 2010/11.

Beat them in the cup the season after.

Cl hasn't  lost to Wright tho since his return and unbeaten last 7 games with them scoring  just 3 goals.

Looking at the scores, most games are very close.

Not a fixture for the purist.

Why do you think it's a must win? Genuine question, what do you think will happen if we draw or lose?

I honestly don't think it's must win, for anyone at the club. We could lose 5-0 and nothing would change.

Our record up there is not good, and that team is not one we're setup to break down. Be surprised to see us win.

Wednesday is important given our league position but Sunday still the more important game for me. Rest Ryo if he’s not feeling 100%, rest Uche as there’s no way he’ll make it through 3 games in 8 days unscathed and leave Whelan till Sunday.

News hot off the press.

From an interview on Forth 2 Craig can see the "green shoots of recovery" in regards to our injury CRISIS.

The 1st time I heard the "green shoots of recovery" quote was a couple of weeks (at the most 2 months) after the financial crash in 2008 from a Labour MP.

11 years later and many are still suffering form the fallout of that particular injury CRISIS.

Better get Naismith on a 7 year contract extension pronto.

I will need to look out my Horse hair jumper. Thank you Haken very useful.

I don't think a defeat on Sunday changes anything, but being second bottom after a round of fixtures is an issue.

No one can hide from that.

I still think it's a bad time for a change but in that scenerio I really can't find any positives.

A defeat tommorow then a win Sunday, **** knows what that means in all this mess.

We really need to start winning in the league. We are in grave danger of finishing bottom 2 this year and are in threat of relegation. In normal circumstances, a draw probably wouldn’t be the worst result but this is yet another game in the must win category.

I'd almost forgotten all about Walker!

I've not read the article, but was Peter Haring not in line to start against Rangers if he got through the training session on the friday before the game?  Now there is no chat of him being in contention at all. Has he had a set back? I don't think Naismith or Walker have any chance of making it any time soon, it's just Levein talking utter nonsense as usual.

Haring was back in Austria this week to see a specialist.

Walker was a broken bone so timescales should be accurate.

Pretty clean cut you'd think.

Naismith, like Souttar just seems to have issues no one is 100% on.

Obviously almost fit then has a set back.

Could see it being similar to the 2-2 up there last winter, also midweek. Phantom penalty, that would actually have been well suited to halloween

Getting beat 5-0 from a team bottom of the league. CL would have to go, the fury on here and in the stands would be at riot level.

I honestly dont believe there is any result tomorrow that will get him sacked. The board either don't care or don't know enough about football for that to happen.
