Think we have to look at any new signings a bit more in depth to avoid this again. He was totally unfit when he arrived but 6 months later there was still no progress with him obviously as he has been shown the exit door. If he had any chance of making it at Hearts he would have shown it. Think the big issue is he has scored goals in his career, our coaching staff are set up to work with big units who specialise in holding the ball up. I’m not a fitness expert so just the opinion of some forum dafty but I struggle to see off the back of a season his fitness gets so out of control in the space of a short break away. I think it was about 3 weeks but could be wrong. I think there’s probably more chance of his conditioning just being shit anyway, and it’s something we’ve not spotted if we’re scouting him off wyscout.
