His name is

I assume someone has already mention, but I hope it doesn't damage the pitch.

Looks good tho and hopefully another revenue stream for future events

Greetings from the EIF @Tynecastle! Wonderful summer evening. Doors opened 530 so pretty quiet. Looks like a great night ahead!

It looks fab, I’m just curious as to why the stage isn’t a bit further back?

Going from Ann’s statement though, I’m wondering if she’s hinting at Tynie being used as a concert venue more often?

What an an atmosphere that would generate!!!!

It all feels a bit surreal! You wouldn't know the green green grass is below all those chairs on the surface. Tiny bit of pitch beyond the orchestra pit/ stage. Pitch seating seems a free for all..sit where you want for now.

Gulls circling.

Whilst the posh folk in murrayfield dont like the noise from live gigs, Edinburgh is gagging for a live music venue.

Totally, I’d love to see a decent band/artist at Tynie. Imagine The Boss rocking the place! 🎸🎸🎸

I wonder if the promoters might leave the big screens behind. :whistling:

Really wanted to go to this, wish it hadn't been free to prevent people taking tickets for the sake of it/people not really interested in the event going along just because it was free.

In fairness, I didn't know I was going to be up this weekend so it's more sour grapes on my part due to my poor planning 😂

Made alternative plans so I hope the are just as good and that everyone going to Tynecastle tonight has a great evening. Delighted the weather is good for it

*******s. The EIF website let me down completely when I tried and tried to book two seats. Was sold out by the time I tried again. Was hoping it pished down on you all tonight. But I'm not bitter about missing out. ::troll:: Oh yes I am!!!

Am inside. But guessing there are big queues outside. Might be a delay.

Bag checks and scanning of tickets taking a while.

Outside is a shambles....there are no stewards separating out those with phone or printed tickets. (At the main stand anyway) No one telling people to fold the ticket to fit in the scanner. Due to start in 3 minutes with thousands outside 😬

Once inside those with pitch tickets have to queue again on the stairs to get a wrist band. Looks fantastic though 🙂

Sound in the stadium is perfect. No question Tynecastle is fit for the size of concerts you used to get at Meadowbank, around the level of Elton John.
