When the reformation happened in England, they simply changed the pope with the king and kept everything the same.

In Scotland "we" binned the lot. Even the stain glass windows.

Can any one on here name the head of the COS, Baptist etc. But you can the Coe.

Head of the royal family becomes head of a church.

So why did the recent person to marry into the royal family have to be confirmed into the Coe? And the wee issue of her being divorced, at least they have moved on a bit.

They didn't have to be. They chose to be.

You do realise Her Majesty, whilst being Supreme Governor of the Church of England, is also a member of the Church of Scotland?

Incorrect. The belief system changed in a lot of aspects. The main things that continued were the diocesan structure. Fundamental tenets of belief like transubstantiation were abolished. Holy Communion replaced Mass as a consequence.

Im sitting here at HT. All pretty insipid stuff so far.

When does Section N start the atmosphere and the intimidation of the Killie players? Most of them are standing...

Not really.

Peter Phillips' wife did convert from Roman Catholicism before they got married.

Fascinating. Anyone got some riveting history on the Moonies? Just to keep the excitement coming thick and fast.

Given that matter circulates and that the Earth is a reasonably closed system, you may well have done so without realising it. Bon appetit!

And the Duchess of Kent is now a Roman Catholic. So, members of the royal family can be Catholics.

It was a shit direction and off topic. Not to mention a total snorefest. So, no, I’d sooner comment on the topic and not read Geoffrey and yourself battering on about fairy stories.

Levein’s pre-match comments were very good I thought. No nonsense, and to the point. It’s clear the vast majority of the club from owner down to most of the fans are united on this.

How do you think today went?

Killie fans enjoyed themselves I daresay.

Noticed we allowed 10/15 Killie fans out onto trackside so they can celebrate then just ushered them back into the stand. Why do we bother with G4S and police Scotland?

Indeed.  The most fan friendly stadium in Scotland ?. (Unless you actually support the home team.)

I never even noticed their fans on the pitch but that is a prime example of what has been said on this thread. It was a perfect opportunity to draw a line in the sand and show we mean business by escorting the lot of them from the ground.

3 consecutive games at Tynecastle have seen 2 players assaulted from the away support and a handful of away supporters encroach the playing area.

Apparently though, we need to make sure our shit isn’t smelling before commenting on that.

Well the Hearts fans today were pathetically subdued (understandably so given the shit thrown) so I guess we’ll be hearing about this latest incident in the away end soon enough.

Our fans probably too busy filming other Hearts fans or sitting with their fingers poised on the Grass Line number to even notice.

Bored.

Will see you standing flag folk at church tomorrow. Then off to Haymarket. To be quiet and respectful.

Please don't bring a pyrotechnic.

And feel free to stand.

out of interest what did Levein say today pre-match? Hopefully he's not in agreement with the "sit doon" policy. :(

No, he said he wants the hostile atmosphere, and that it plays a huge part in our performances. He condemned the pyrotechnics and other unacceptable behaviour though.
