Niddry Street.  The posters on the right are all there on the Street View image from 2012.  What a shame I missed The Ginge, The Geordie and The Geek.

I thought that was Sighthill at first, but the layout of the flats doesn't fit and the lower ones there were a more browny colour.

Sighthill in Glasgow phots get mixed up with Sighthill Edinburgh phots. I do remember small flats like that though behind the fire station

👍  It must be Glasgow then. As well as the layout of the highrises , the arrangement of their windows is different to what the Edinburgh ones had.

Not sure when it was built but, when I worked for Lothian Region, there was a tunnel that went from the Council HQ to the building over the road

That Woolwich became a Bank of Scotland, which is closed now.  There's still a pharmacy where the one in the photo is, but it's a LLoyd's one now.

The shop with the green canopy is still going. Green grocers type place.
