It is indeed.

Wow, that brings back memories. Loading that game, I seem to remember, you could go out and have a full ninety-minute kickabout and arrive just in time for the game to be ready.

Heart of Midlothian has today completed the loan signing of Steven Naismith.

The Scotland forward has signed until the end of the season from English Championship side Norwich City.

Steven will train with his new teammates for the first time tomorrow and with international clearance expected before the weekend, he could make his Hearts debut in Sunday’s William Hill Scottish Cup tie against Hibernian at Tynecastle.

Capped 45 times for Scotland, the Ayrshire forward started his career with Kilmarnock and then enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with Rangers, before moving south to the Premier League with Everton. After four seasons he joined Norwich City for £8.5 million, and has bagged over 100 career goals to date.

He becomes the Jambos’ second signing of the January transfer window following the acquisition of Demetri Mitchell from Manchester United.

Speaking to heartsfc.co.uk about the move, manager Craig Levein said: “It’s a bit of a coup to bring somebody in of Steven’s quality, not just in a footballing sense but as a person as well. It’s much in keeping with the senior players we have here already, the likes of Don Cowie, Christophe Berra and Aaron Hughes.

“I think he’ll be a huge player in the dressing room and a great example to the rest of the team. On top of that he’s a fantastically talented football player.

“He’ll bring a bit of nous, experience, energy and enthusiasm – which he has in abundance. He’s also got goalscoring ability.”

Bit disappointed it's only Stevie Naismith. I heard we had signed Dan Petrescu and Gheorghe Hagi.
