Not saying it will happen but you never know. There is absolutely no reason for him not to do exactly what you've said. He's got the right attitude, the right drive, and the right ability. More importantly, he's one of these "modern day" defenders that can actually play football instead of just kicking lumps out of people. I think, even more importantly, he has come back from a serious injury and it doesn't seem to have affected his game. How many young players get a bad injury and then are never the same player again after that? He's back giving it his all, bombing forward and, by the sounds of things, creating chances for his team. His first goal for the Cardiff first team can't be far away, their Twitter feed makes it seem like he's all over the field in the few games he's played for them. Walker is a great player but doesn't even have half of the physical presence Patterson has. If he stays fit he could be a great player for years to come.
