He was great for us in so many ways but his defending wasnt one of them. I hope he's a massive success down there so we benefit from the sell on clause but he really needs to sort his game out. Which might not be the best view. Callum Paterson has barely just started. Its not yet a year since he got injured Neil Warnock has backed him to succeed. His defending was fine for us and remember he was played all over the place initially before becoming part of a very stingy defence under Neilson after promotion. Part of being a good wide defender these days is being a good attacker, which Paterson is. That's why Walker went to City for 50m. CP is still Scotland's best option for RB by some distance, just for his power, heading, shooting and all round dynamism, never mind his defending. If he got the ball it was from a static position. Never seemed to get a decent pass to him. When he went forward looking for the ball he arrived just too late. So no trademark driving runs forwards. Give him a bit more time to settle in at Cardiff. PS seems he's first pick in the Cardiff away team but only on the bench for the home games.
