Hibs after Scott McDonald who is out of contract at Motherwell

Should we be interested in him?

Always liked McDonald.

Even though he is now 32, can still score goals at this level and is a very good link up player also.

Nah Redmond is easily good enough to make it at the top end of the EPL. ?11m isn't bad for a player like him in England's market.

Must have missed him turning it on last season.

Liverpool agree fee for Sadio Mane of Southampton and medical on Monday.......?30 million

I like him but fee is very high and will he improve on what is there.

You have to think that Benteke is in his way now.

Southampton once more bringing in large transfer fees

DUNDEE United boss Ray McKinnon is set to bring Willo Flood back to Tannadice for a third spell, and is also targeting Kilmarnock forward Tope Obadeyi.

McKinnon could also raid former club Raith Rovers for defender Lewis Toshney, as he seeks to rebuild following United?s relegation to the Championship.

That's a couple of good signings for that level.

Looks like they're trying to put the Hearts team they beat in 2013 back together. Where's Michael Ngoo these days?

19 year old Moussa Dembele to Celtic allegedly.

To be fair to them, that's one hell of a signing if they pull it off.

Dembele is a depressingly good signing for Celtic. Wasn't expecting that at all.

10 goals for a struggling Fulham in the championship last season and still only 19 years old as well, definitely a decent signing.

Nope......it was Robbie that looked at him very early on in his reign but obviously we didnt sign him after some training sessions with us...

Once more a Scottish club taking advantage of the current cross border agreements to get a player on the cheap as opposed to him staying in England... they can then pay higher wages or a very good signing on fee.

In England he was being talked about a ?5 million player for a transfer fee,, it will be no more than ?500,000 for Celtic

Rangers have done the same and it is something we should be looking at albeit at a different price level.

Must have offered him a big wage as a result of the low fee.. He's a good player, linked with city and Utd a few times

The last half dozen posts give an idea of the difference between Celtic and Rangers right now...

Yup, Dembele is the kind of play they need to get there. Plus they know that if he plays well they will get good money for him.

It's not but they'll be aiming higher than the SPL, they 'need' to get back to being in the CL group stage every year so with their pal back it looks like they'll start spending again.

Not really good news for the rest of us though to be honest.

Or the expectant pressure of 60k screaming animals could get inside the head of, and crush, a young talented player who's become the highest paid player at the club and just made the biggest move of his life and sinks instead of swims.

Such is the risk taken by any player who moves to an OF club.

It's great news if they get horsed out of Europe before the ucl stages. Not do great other wise.

maybe a little frightener from our very own Perry Kitchen inside 2 minutes of his league debut might perhaps add to said pressure? :kirk:

Christian Nade could be set to make a trip across the Irish Sea and join Linfield for next season.

Morton were rumoured to be interested in the big striker after he left Dumbarton but with no offer being made, it looks like a move to join David Healy?s Linfield could be his next move.
