This is where I don't get the Old Firm, especially Celtic. Why pay ?1m for this guy as back-up RB when they could get Paterson for ?1.2? They've missed out on local players like McCarthy and Fletcher before when the players were desperate to play for them and they could have got them for a song. Likewise, McArthur, Dorrans, Snodgrass and even the likes of Souttar and Jay Fulton. Makes no sense that they would rather pay inflated fees for foreigners instead of paying reasonable fees to Scottish clubs. Unless they just don't want to put money back into the Scottish game?
