Anyone up for a whip round to send 20,000 straws down to ER? They each need another couple to clutch at over the summer I would say

Is there any chance we could now rack up over 20 million in debt, buy a few cups and then just dump all the debt after a few years please?

The Hibs way of being honest and paying your way is blatantly not working. The Bad Guys do, in fact, win in the end.

No point lads. You are already millions in debt and all you will have to show for it is relegation. At least cheat succesfully like the big team

Careful if you are out in Edinburgh centre tonight - you will be threatened, racially abused, attacked or all of the above.

Unbelievably relieved and overjoyed.

I was told about 7 weeks ago that it wasn't going to happen.

From a pretty direct link to BJ the rough quote was "They (Hearts) look like a goner, can't see it happening". I then feared the worst as we struggled through the creditor meetings of UKIO and UBIG. I spent a number of weeks thinking it was over.

Fair play to BJ and Anne Budge. It really looks like they have turned it around. And well done to us, the fans.

Great day.

do tell, i hate teasers.

I haven't a clue, H1b5 reaching the play offs would do me likes, but I was told once Queen Ann has spoken to staff at HMFC an announcement will be made.

What a fantastic day. Have always had faith in the Hearts fans but for someone to front up and capitalise the pledges is something else. There is something special about how the club and fans have come together to rescue the club from the wreckage.

I got the price wrong but the strategy right!

Don't do Direct Debits, and only get to a few games a season, but have bought shares and contributed to the Fighting Fund a couple of times. Well done to everyone who has contributed in any way to save the club. Here's to a great future for the 'Famous.'

Guys..... Im proud of all of you who made this happen.

The shares, the season tickets, the donations, and the pledges. Without this the club would not be here.

So proud to be a supporter of same team as you.

Having a bit of banter with a bitter on fb. Can anybody confirm all charities were reimbursed in full before I go in with a huge sweeping statement and end up looking like a twonk?

Stupid Sexy Flanders

The efforts of Mrs Budge, the FoH, BDO & the fans in saving this utterly magnificent football club should never be forgotten. It is a truly special thing we've done here.

Firstly I am delighted as a Jambo with today's news.

There was however a great deal of "wow Mrs Budge has gone the extra mile" and "some Stunning new new"s floating about here yesterday. Is this still to come or am I being greedy?

Anyone know the background of Hogg and Wilson

Edit: I assume it is this Eric Hogg http://www.companydi...k.com/eric-hogg

Former director of Newell and Budge

Edit 2 : Robert Wilson - ex Deloittes and ex chairman of SPL

Robert Wilson was, until his retirement in March 2010, a partner in Deloitte Consulting, based in Edinburgh.

An MA and MBA graduate, Robert began his career in public sector management in Scotland before moving into the private sector, initially into marketing and information systems and subsequently management consultancy. He has spent over 20 years in consultancy, covering both the public and private sectors.

In his work with Deloitte Consulting, Robert specialised in business strategy, operational reviews, organisational transformation and major programme management. He has worked across most segments of the public sector as well as many private sector industry segments. He has also acted as a non-executive director.

Hearts supporters trust agreed to pay all charities months ago. It was in the evening news. The article also had a quote from the poppy foundation saying hearts owed no money.

Quick google search should find it.

Great news, well done to FOH and Anne Budge.

Looks like the hubs desperate, pathetic, sad and bitter obsession with our existence is finally put to bed. They schemed together, working out all the different scenarios, "we are finished" they cried, genuinely hoping we died, this was there revenge on us for all the humiliation we caused them.

Hahaha. Even at our weakest we still humiliate them.

They truly are a bitter lot, that's why this news news is all the more sweeter for me. Deep down they know we will only get better and stronger, I will look forward to thrashing that lot time and time again.

Nice cool beers tonight, then tomorrow, enjoy another hibs humiliation.

Reminds me of when I was getting my colonoscopy.

The Doc is inserting the camera and says, glancing at the notes,

"I see you're 65. You don't look 65!"

To which I reply,

"Which end are you deducing that from?"

Lesson, don't make the Doc laugh when she is sticking a camera up your bahoochie!!!

If anyone ever inserts anything up my bottom and does not flirt with me like that beforehand, I'm not gonna snuggle afterwards.

First ?1m from DDs no doubt handed over next week.

According to the BBC that's right. Makes me very proud that the supporters have contributed another million and there's plenty more to follow.

For the first time in donkeys years we are truly solvent and just happen to be the employers of some of the best young players in Scotland.

So what is the actual number of pledges and average pledge amount? Should hopefully rocket now. I am about to increase my pledge.
