Just flicked over from the golf to see England at 17-4. Just when you think they can't go any lower in this tour it gets worse.

I agree that Harris, although having less wickets than Johnson, has been the star for me as well. Had a good time in the Summer Ashes as well despite being on the losing side.

England would be as well f****** off home now. They are a total shambles.

All out for less than 100 is my prediction for tonight.

Just looked up the lowest ever innings in the Ashes - 36 all out by Australia in 1902.

They couldn't, could they? :davebp:

It's now on.

Need Stokes to swing the bat for a couple of overs to get out the 20s.

Has Lawson done himself in?

Alan Johnson

Top 5 gone for 7, 0, 7, 2, 3. Must be some sort of record?

They might as well just start playing some shots. No point crawling along and getting out anyway.

He's away typing a monologue about how he, of course, saw this coming all along.

And how if Nick Compton had played instead of Carberry England would have the ashes wrapped up by now.

Have England got a signing embargo or something and are having to play with kids?

At least the tail wagged for them.

Aussies to pile on the runs in the morning session to set 450 and then take a leisurely two and a half days to wrap it up.

And they'll probably only need the half day.

Still no comment from Lawson.

I'm dreading here his next contribution.

So what do the Aussies do.

Play a 20/20 style game and quickly get to a 500 lead. Even if they get knocked over their lead is probably already safe. Another 50 would make sure.

Declare as soon as Harris would be next to bat.

Bat most of day if possible, get a really huge lead, knock off a couple of the top end late on in the day and bowl England out during day 4 and win by 400+ runs.

?400 on England winning, with draw no bet. Probably should have bet after the first test as Australia may well grab the first test. But I'm going by the old saying - form is temporary, class is permanent. England simply a better team. Better coach, better spinner and more capable of taking 20 wickets. However which team scores more runs in the middle order may be the deciding factor. KP, Bell, Root & Prior >>> Clarke, Smith, Bailey & Haddin.

Ooooffft!! Sare yin!! Class is permanent aye?

England being shown up for the poor side they are

They have been world no 1 in recent years but that just shows how much

the standards in international cricket have dropped in last 15 - 20 years

whether it is 20-20 or too much limited overs games i've no idea but

today's teams wouldn't stand a chance against their equivalents from 20,30, 40 years ago

Rogers edging closer to his ton. It's all too easy.

Has anyone checked if Lawson's milk bottles are piling up on his doorstep? :(

Always pleasing to see England get pumped at any sport, even one I know nothing about...although, judging from the majority of posts on page 1, neither do any of you lot. :)

Cook is a shite captain.

Yup he has to step down , to negative tactically a throw back to the Michael Atherton era .

But they don't really have any good replacements .

The Average Aussie bowlers have been made to look like Lillie and Thompson by a cowardly conservative England .

Saw the Sky team debating Bairstow's technique at bat last night, and they said that Gooch had been arguing that one of his technical flaws (something about his footwork, can't remember exactly) during the series had not happened before. Viewers were calling in left right and centre demanding the footage from the summer Ashes series which showed that the problem had been evident then as well

Gooch has had a nightmare

I don't think England will lose a Test.

The are still vastly superior to Australia, and both teams know it.
