DETTY29
Exactly this. Keith Jackson & his ilk will be gutted that they will actually have to write and investigate a story rather than just being given a Jack Irvine press release to rehash as their own work. So that's Keith Jackson, Bill McMurdo Jnr and PMcGB that get all their info from Jack Irvine.

scott_jambo
I'd be amazed if there was any cash injection from Ashley, if there is it will be a loan. Also his Newcastle model is that out of whatever funds are available the transfer fee is paid in full and also the players wages (and any agents fees) for the duration of the contract are covered in full. A ?10 Mill war chest won't buy you two $5Mill players or even three ?3Mill players in Ashley world. It will always be loans with conditions. Ashley will never put his own hard cash into Rangers. It's all about investment for future payoff. Rangers can operate on an even keel for quickly if Ashley sells a lot of the star players, promotes from the youth and settles for promotion through the play offs. The Rangers fans would go absolutely tonto though. The smart thing would be to replace the high wage players with free loans from Newcastle in January. scott_jambo
Where are the high wage players going in this scenario? Bell, Wallace, McLeod, Moshni, Peralta, Daly, Boyd and maybe Law would have interest I reckon. McCulloch, Sheils, Miller, Black etc..would have to stay as you rightly say there would be little interest.
Riccarton3
I am not the brightest but I would suggest their wages prohibit or make movement unlikely. I cannot see the benefit for any of them leaving given the nflated wages Rangers pay unless they put Rangers before their own interests.

scott_jambo
The smart thing would have been to do the above when they went into admin. Ashley is the character to do it, imo. The problem with "Rangers men" is that they have an obligation to behave like a "Rangers man". Ashley will do what he wants and they will have to suck it and see. The boy has thousands of gullible Geordies wrapped round his little finger, I'm sure he can do the same and long term it may just be for the good of Rangers Football Club. Yeah, nothing dubious about that.... Rangers rejected a Moshni bid from Baniyas in the summer. The "sources close the player" quote is about a further bid being made, you have not read the article correctly. As a Tunisian internationalist he may be rated, rightly or wrongly, in African/middle eastern areas. I can't tell you how his performances have been for the Tunisian international team, but it could be a situation where he has turned in a couple of solid displays. I wish people would debate the post and not the poster on here, apparently everything is looking for "bites" even if information comes from press reports. Unknown user
I have family friends who go to southend. Moshni was a figure of fun there, and they were delighted to get rid if him. Couldn't believe when he turned up at rangers Aye, he was known as a walking booking and managed to alienate himself from the fans and management. They turned down a decent offer for him during his last summer there but ended up releasing him 8 months later after one too many eff-ups He's french born but only played amateur over there. He turned pro after trying his luck in England's lower leagues and has only been called up for Tunisia (twice) since moving to Rangers. I think its safe to say that it's the club he's at that's won him caps as he's been fairly pish for rangers and he doesn't seem to have been on Tunisia's radar before his move north FWIW I've read that he's a very genuine, pleasant and charitable guy, very much into helping out in the community. I'll be delighted every time he lines up against us though, he's just not a reliable defender
jack D and coke
Moshni is apparently the guy the Rangers players themselves were openly mocking in front of Dumbarton players at Ibrox in a fairly recent match wasn't he? If they do offer him a new contract it will prove to me McCoist really doesn't have the foggiest when it comes to players. The guy is utter pony. Mysterion
FWIW I've read that he's a very genuine, pleasant and charitable guy, very much into helping out in the community. It was either in the Weegia or on social media that he was helping local Glasgow charities. The guy does appear to be a decent human being. Hopefully he'll stay for two reasons - the first cause he's naff, the 2nd so he can continue showing Weegies how to support each other rather than have divisions through their sectarian bile. Toonpack
Ashley loan to Rangers (tied to yet more assets), Rangers loan players from NUFC, loan fees (loan's aint free) and wage saving for NUFC who are already profitable, = increased profits at NUFC. Ashley takes more of his loan exposure with NUFC back from profits, Ashley's overall exposure reduced yet Rangers still owe him the sum of his loans. (with no future knowledge of BDO/FOH/Ann Budge etc..? delight? relief? trepidation? To be honest relief as it would have sustained Hearts for a time but ultimately the debts were far to big for out club and withou Administration we would never have rid ourselves of it. The Rangers may also be in a similar position now and Ashely may just be keeping them going but not actually paying down the debt. To be honest as much as the supporters won't like it Admin would fix the cash flow problems followed by good finacial management be that by the fans through a similar set up as ours or a decent "owner" whoes focus is on the club and not his own pocket.
