269miles
I just took that statement at face value which didn't mention any time scale for the deal. I have since listened back to the press conference where King says they have an agreement to the end of next season (I assume that to be 2017/18), at which point TRFC is free to negotiate further with SD or another party. King was at pains to say that TRFC hasn't had any significant retail capability since SDM sold it to JJB in 2006, and that it was necessary for them to work with a partner. King stated clearly that the seven year deal is no more and that TRFC retains the IP. Thanks for clarifying.

The fans have never raised that level of money before. I don't believe they will now. Some of those loans are turning into shares. milky_26
Yeah but it is spun by the SMSM as King playing hardball with MA, King showed him....dont mess with KIng etc etc etc? MA did what was best for MA, and make no mistake the thousands of unsold shirts, were going to cost King ?thousands hence they are wearing last season shirts once again, Its so sad and pathetic but lets see how the SMSM put a spin on that one? Your shirts are so last season sooooo last season oh your shirts are so last season the spin will be that they are not wanting to fleece their loyal fans who did buy last seasons strip. it is king and co looking out for the little guys

If that club wished to stir things up, it would get interesting. As it is, the great bitter rivals lol are on the same page despite the SFA's 'special' relationship with ra' Bears. There shouldn't really be a need for sensitivity, it should be a simple application of rules with potential wrongdoing revisited but the SFA do not operate without fear or favour, despite any breathtaking claims to the contrary. altyjambo
The deal with SD talks about the profits made from the shirt sales - it doesn't say what costs are taken into account to arrive at those profits. It wouldn't be a surprise if SD continue to run the megastore at Ibrox but on behalf of TRFC and not RR, and their costs come out of the profit share. There's probably a change in the split of the remaining profits between the two but they will both come out ahead if the boycott's over. The line I thought was interesting but not really covered was thanking Puma for their patience. I'll bet the legal bods at Puma would have been making noises about the lack of sales of their product as a result of a company-induced boycott of their product. Suspect that was as much a factor in this arrangement as making peace with Ashley.

There may be enough mugs out there to raise ?16m (which just clears debt to date of a company trading at a loss, no more) but without professional financial help you can't just bang out a rights issue. So, will any finance company risk the wrath of the Take Over Panel, and the possibility of getting caught in the middle of them suing King - I'd doubt it very much. These shares have been purchased from MASH Holdings Limited. Club 1872?s acquisition takes our shareholding in RIFC over 10%, a significant marker in our progress as a shareholder/investor in RIFC. We now hold 10.71%, making Club 1872 the second largest shareholder in RIFC. We are delighted that our members? support for Club 1872 has brought us to a point where we can acquire these shares and complete the process of restoring control of RIFC to those who view the footballing success of Rangers FC as being just as important as RIFC?s careful stewardship financially. Club 1872 allows Rangers supporters to help safeguard the future of our Club. Taking our shareholding above 10% puts us well on our way to that goal. Our next ambition is to reach out to those Rangers supporters who are not already members of Club 1872 and encourage them to join. Together we can achieve great things for our Club. The remaining shares held by MASH Holdings Limited have been purchased by Julian Wolhardt, the CEO of Dehong Capital Partners, a Hong Kong based private equity firm.
