The point I was making is from today there will be lots of fans  who have under 5 points but still can't buy a ticket having been season ticket holders for years.

This is where the loyalty points systems let's itself down. When the threshold gets this low we should looking  at buying history and let anyone buy a ticket  that has previously had a season ticket.

I find it impossible to believe at this stage there is a hearts fan that can’t get a ticket for this game. If you don’t have or know someone who has at 5 points are you really in any position to be moaning about not being able to get a ticket.

Hearts put their neck on the line for a 50/50 split and put out a rallying call for fans to snap up tickets.

Loyalty points system rightly kicks in and does its job correctly. 

Few thousand tickets left for fans who aren't regulars for whatever reason.

The next step should be that  anyone who has previously had a season ticket should be able to snap up a remaining ticket , making it easier for us to  hopefully sell out .The club doesn't have to cover the cost of the shortfall and they prove their point to the SFA.

It's not rocket science, although seems hard to grasp for some of  the dafties on here.

For a fanbase that moan about not challenging the Old Firm, moan about how we s*ite ourselves in Glasgow, moan about how we don't get equal treatment to the Old Firm, we've shot ourselves in the foot massively here, after the club stepped up too.

Spot on, if your not going to this and can and only reason your not is because its Rangers in Glasgow then you don't deserve a ticket for the final if we get there. Understand folk that can't make it but for others who could go and don't then your letting the side down.

That's a very decent point, mate, absolutely should be considered given the fact that responsibility is factor here, not demand for limited Tickets like other situations and surely people who have had STs are deemed to be Proper Hearts enough to be trusted not to hand opposition fans Tickets 👍

I had the same issue renewing my season ticket. I went in to my purchase history and hit resend email and it came through.

ASAP fan base, on here anyway we get too caught up in ticket sales and crowds. 

 

Baffles me at how excited some get about our crowds and other teams crowds.

We as fans kicked up a stink in November about not getting 50/50, so the club fought for it and put their necks on the line for this fixture, and now it looks like it'll bite them in the arse. 

 

Same folk sitting battering their keyboards on here and on twitter are the same ones that'll watch the game on a dodgy stream whilst sitting saying how embarrassing the attendance looked.

The only ones that haven't been opened yet are F6, F7 and G1.

 

The other sections which have no availability must have sold out, although often you see batches of tickets appear in sections that have previously looked sold.

Could also end up costing the club a 6 figure amount. Might end up being the difference between making a signing or even money that could have went towards a new contract for shankland.

How many exactly kicked up a stink?  Maybe you did, I certainly didn’t.  A few moon howlers on social media or even a couple of hundred (was there even a poll?) on JKB shouldn’t be representative of whether we are likely to sell 21k tickets for a game that we never get close to selling that number.  
 

The fans making the most noise are likely the ones that would be going anyway so with the greatest respect it doesn’t really matter what they think - the relevant opinions are those of the few thousand that don’t normally normally go to semi finals and most of them probably don’t care enough either way to be demanding a 50/50 split but these are the fans you’re basically demanding must go.

If we don't sell out, then those who don't attend the semi can have no complaints when we don't get a 50/50 split next time (including, potentially, for the final should we make it).

Can you explain that. If Hearts return a section or 2 of unsold tickets and then Rangers sell them to their fans why do Hearts have to cover this cost?

I think if we sell 19k plus it justifies our decision to ask for half. It's not our fault how the segregation works and asking for 50/50 will have seen more than normal being able to attend.

Genuinely don't know.

The way segregation works we can't hand anything back. So any unsold we are on the hook for financially.

 

If there are a lot going spare we should be offering out to schoolkids or to Big Hearts for allocation.  If they are being paid for anyway might as well use them.

How many layers of complexity can the system take or even want though and how far back do we go ? 
 

I’m not saying anyone doesn’t deserve a ticket but the key point is how many are actually missing out due to the current system. As I’ve said if you have less than 5 points and don’t know anyone who can get you a ticket I’m not sure those are the ones we should be falling over ourselves to please.
