Not sure about 12 players though. Would like to see offiah start.

12 players might give us the advantage we need....

and don't forget - we also have the the chairwoman / owner / captain / main debtor / sole recruiter / vanity project manager and bacon sandwich maker at the back giving Rowles as rest by taking on the additional role of scapegoat when she gets ragdolled a la Rowles by Motherwell's centre forward.

amazing how much this woman is prepared to do for this club :)

I think Offiah has good skills, what did we get him for if we're not going to play him

Might be an idea to play Sibbick in DM again, as they can switch without a sub

Just a thought

I think we got him to mainly cover for Atkinson and against Partick he looked decent but then last week against Dundee he looked awful.

It is probably a bit of a gamble playing him against a streetwise mob such as Motherwell who know all the tricks in the book.

Maybe Kingsley would be a better option.

Yes, the fans have played their part, now it's up to the team.

Didn't Kingsley get hurt?

All roads lead to Gorgie

Heart says 2-0, head says 1-1. By kickoff I'll go with the Heart and hope for the best.

Thinking we should start Offiah as CB instead of Rowles as that is his main position so let's see what hes got. If Kingsley injured I'd go Halliday at LB with Cochrane in front of him.

Probably explains why he's been poor and overlooked in midfield 😁

Fingers crossed for a reaction after the 2 defeats

Out of The 4 home matches we have played this season (1 league, 1 cup, 2 Europe), we have largely played quite well. Deservedly beat PT and Rosenborg and should have at least drawn with PAOK.

The Kilmarnock game being the exception - we were rotten that day, probably largely down to how solid Killie performed.

Sunday will tell us a lot.

A good performance, correct team selection and positive result is absolutely crucial, even at this extremely early stage of the season.

The club have brought this pressure on themselves.

Looked to me like Kingsley was badly winded . Feels bloody awful but if that's what it was he should be ok.

I don't think this team has it in them to create a reaction.

Dundee was atrocious.

But I was talking about home games.

👍  We need to get the finger out when we are away.

It will be interesting to see how well we do on Sunday. I don't have any great expectations of a win unfortunately.

Next two games are at home (Well and Sheep).

Absolutely vital we get back on track and not only win the games but perform well and show that we have learned from our repeated mistakes.

Without sounding dramatic, it won’t take much for fans to become restless like happened last season, given the managerial set up imposed by the club.

Interesting comments from McAvoy about the possibilty of them reverting back to Naismith being the Head Coach now we are out of Europe.

We have looked a different team this season compared to last in our style of play since McAvoy took the Head Coach role which was surrpising as I would have thought we would still have played the same way assuming Naismith was still running things but maybe not.

Love that team though I'd consider Lowry for Oda, Lowry was a revelation against Dundee when he went out to the wing.

Start Tagawa, Vargas, Devlin. Do not start Lowry or Boyce, keep them both as impacts.

Screw impacts, we wasted 45 minutes in the 1st half at dundee by not starting our strongest 11.

Best 11 on from the start, take them off if we get that luxury.

A few different team selections being posted.

however , it’s pretty unanimous that Rowles drops out

Players have dip in form but can’t have him starting anymore , too lightweight and error prone.

Expect us to win. We are strong at Tynecastle.

Things change in football very quickly. What happened in the last game often is not a good predictor of what will happen in the next game.

It seems crazy to say this early in the season but they are two must win games imo.

Sunday's game marks the start of next seasons euro campaign.

Yup and the paok pumping should highlight to those running the club how vital 3rd spot in the league is. Qualifying through play offs is, I would suggest, bloody difficult for all scottish clubs!!

They are likely to be our top 6 opponents so vital to create a gap and not arse it up this time.

The club have brought this pressure on themselves.

The common denominator in those home games was neither Rosenborg,  PAOK, or Thistle sat in.

The games we struggle in are the likes of Killie and Dundee when we have to break teams down. We are clueless in this department boring , turgid one pace stuff that allows teams to funnel back quickly and wait for our inevitable mistakes at the back.

Mods - change thread title. Saw this elsewhere.

And, spare a thought for poor St Mirren. Tough schedule that.

no excuses left for naisy and frank. Yes we have injuries, so does every club. Get on with the job. Anything other than a win is not acceptable imo.

But the players will be tired!

Front foot, all guns blazing from the start and 3-0 up midway through the first half.

There's no point in being negative or what's the point in going?

3-4 Motherwell, FT. 😜

Please no sick of seeing him in there he is hopeless! 3 games now we’ve done it and he has looked lost in every single one.

The team isn’t looking balanced in midfield. We need to start Grant or Halliday to play alongside Cammy.

Everyone else has had a shot and failed in midfield so no reason not to give Grant a game.
