moogsy
To be fair if I was in Mexico I’d probably be too busy worrying about having one of the highest murder rates in the world and half the country being run by drug cartels to be concerned about someone in Britain only being able to buy 3 cucumbers in one go. manaliveits105
There has been adverse weather conditions for growing throughout Europe in recent months resulting in poor crops that is the main reason for shortages whilst supermarkets look to other avenues of supply some further afield There are shortages through Europe which is obviously the Tories fault

Auld Reekin'
The shortage absolutely isn’t “Europe-wide”: there’s no problem at all getting whatever fruit and veg you want - including tomatoes, peppers, & cucumbers - in Andalucía at the moment. No shortages of anything in fact. Much of the agricultural produce which the UK used to import from Spain now comes from Morocco and it is because of this that the recent poor weather in the region has played a part. However, given that we now import the bulk of such goods from Morocco rather than Spain, Brexit has got to be regarded as the main factor in this.
