Gorgie_Rules
1 hour ago, This is My Story Podcast said: The GU are a registered supporters club just like Merchy Hearts, Livi Hearts etc so they apply for tickets the same as every other supporters club. They are allocated tickets based on how many LP’s they have and if they qualify for a ticket. Easter Road a good example. The application sent in for the GU was about 100+ but only 70 odd qualified through the loyalty point scheme. Be a big loyalty threshold for Morton I would imagine. Bit of a long winded statement but Morton gave Motherwell an allocation of 3,000, with the statement suggesting it could have went up to 3,600. https://gmfc.net/general-manager-stadium-update/ Wouldn’t be too far off the Easter Road threshold if we get that. Sooks
I am surprised there is even a little bit of dissent now . It is just a tiny minority that moan about them now as the thread indicates . They have been good to their word and do not give it racist or sectarian shit , and they keep the atmosphere ticking over in between flash points which create a natural atmosphere . Probably time everyone just accepted them as one of the many groups of supporters in our broad church and just let them get on with it tbh

Don't get me wrong, I welcome the backing the GUs bring and, as has been pointed out, they more than likely have enough LPs to get tickets Well that’s alright then. They should be maroon making them stand out from the rest Why is black hoodies a negative because if you look at most Hearts fans black is the most common colour. You see black is the most common colour of hoodie as an example I have 3 black hoodies & 1 grey and you want these guy’s to go out and buy maroon hoodies because you think the Ultras should stand out from the rest. Well I’m sure the Ultras would welcome you buying every Ultra a maroon hoodie (good quality) or find them a sponsor which these guys might like. . A bit of advice TT, maybe better asking the Gorgie Ultras on their views first. Edited February 13 by mitch41

SecN
I like that our Ultras are pure with no political or antagonising songs. They did output a loud rendition of ‘Celtic Boysclub Paedophiles’ today. Good to get the Mhanks riled up but hopefully our crew keep going with a good image. Respect for atmosphere today. 👍

1874Jambo
I'm not a fan of 'the ultras' feel the players are quick to acknowledge them after the game and the rest of the ground are second place, do we know if they actually pay for all the seats behind the goals or are people missing out on a seat where the banner takes up 2 rows

And with regards to the seats, people do actually sit in them but the ultras get in nice and early to drag them out and put their banners down 👍🏻

That is something that seems to escape those that criticise them for wearing all black. It does stand out amongst a sea of largely maroon. Yes, it makes them look like ultras from other clubs, but the ultras at those clubs also stand out because they wear black, rather than their team's colours. Obviously it wouldn't work if you're team's colours were black, but how many teams play in black?

The Ultras wanted to be behind the goals as it’s the most natural place for a “home end”. It won’t always be one wee section it’s worth remembering, it’ll expand out potentially with the addition of safe standing. As the section grows it’ll make more sense as to why it’s behind the goals. kila
I think they are often out of sync with the rest of the ground, but it'll solve itself once their section grows.
