Jambo na hÉireann

Was already jealous when I shared a flight from Edinburgh to Dublin yesterday, with some Jambos getting a connection.

Now seething with envy.

Just to take stock, who would have thought two years ago we'd be in a toss up with Fiorentina (****ing Fiorentina) to progress to the knockout stages of a European competition. Good times.

Pleased for halliday tonight. He gets a hard press at times but never gives any less than a fully committed performance. Every game.

Absolutely. Gino played well too. Neilson was very good

Where is the Italian undercover Hibee who noted Shankland was the worst signing of the summer.

You won't hear a vespa from him the rest of the night

Good to see Neilson not let his team down, his manager and himself.    A forced substitute sometimes is best to rally the team.    I hope Halkett is OK.

Thought Lewis Neilson was excellent tonight.

Composed, imposing, confident.  Fantastic contribution.

Would have been easy for him to shirk responsibility but he showed real bravery to step out on a few occasions and get us up the pitch.

Happily proved incorrect.

It calmed down a bit but it was a mental game. Could have gone wrong but Riga didn't have enough in the end.

McKay and Ginnelly created a lot. Work on the final pass.

Halliday, Cochrane, Kingsley got stuck in and just did enough defensively.

Devlin, Haring, Grant worked hard in midfield though that is still needing something.

Good for everyone at the club.

agree with all that. And Craig Gordon with some vital saves too when it mattered

Well done Hearts! Looking far more like ourselves… especially in the second half! Big shout out for Lewis Neilson - he was immense for such a young lad! Excellent performances all over the park - great result! Fans were excellent also throughout the game, could hear you all the game! Have a great night in Riga! 😀🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻

Cochrane, Halliday, Devlin and Ginnely were excellent tonight. Never stopped.

Neilson needs to replace Halkett, excellent game and will only get better the more he plays.

Great result tonight

This game is so much more than just the conference league. We needed a result and we needed a performance to get back on track.

Clean sheet and 2 goals against a team at home who are no mugs.

We need to go now and get back to winning ways in the league

There were glimpses of what we can do and when we play with the ball tonight

Big result and big confidence booster tonight. Great stuff and let's take this into the league

2nd in the group stages after 2 games. I'll take that. And a nice wee cash windfall as well

As it stands, we'll be in Europe while the Huns are at home in their beds.

Delighted jambo tonight. Though we played very well.

Money in the bank, a good win in Europe and second in the table. What’s not to like?

He has.

He's put in a massive shift.

This. Some on here relish slagging off their own team. Even when we are winning. Enjoy the victory. Celebrate. "Post mortem" can wait

Well done lads.

Battled well right to the end, no doubting the commitment of any Hearts player on that park.

Some nervy moments but fully deserved the win.

Also well done to the support, fantastic the whole game.

Great win. We needed that great confidence boost! Young Nielson did well and Ginelly was immense. Enjoyable! Except for our corners (taking them and defending them!). Let's keep this going Hearts!
