Japan Jambo

Note that Jorge has had a couple of really productive seasons goal wise. I wonder if Joe has seen something that can be unlocked/replicated here.

From what I've been told anyway, although other posters do say differently 🤷‍♂️

I hope on this occasion you are wrong in the nicest possible way.

Unfortunately, just like John Robertson, we are unlikely to see the likes of Rudi again. We can live in hope though.

Imagine if we had had the 2 of them in the same team.

I know. Would probably need to be a gamble on a foreign player or a loan from the EPL that just "works".

I don’t mean to sound positive but this guy could be the new Hartley!

Same as almost everyone else on here….I have no idea how good this guy is but one things for sure, Neilson and Savage have got very little wrong so far. Welcome to Hearts Jorge and can’t wait to see what you can do🇱🇻👍

We could have always signed a 36yrs old ex Sunderland player on a 1yr contract.

I wish Hibs the same success with that approach that it brought Dundee.

With that facial hair we'll need to pay attention, we'll be mixing him and Beni up all the time.

Again and I don’t want to be negative but there is nothing that suggests Grant will be the type of player to take improve us. 28 years old and spend most of his career in league one and two.

Nothing? There’s absolutely nothing at all about Jorge Grants career to suggest he’ll improve us??

not that in two of his seasons he hit nearly 20 goals, made player of the season, and earned a move to the English championship?

youre right, what an absolute dud. What are this shambolic recruitment team playing at

“I don’t want to be negative” so I’ll post a negative comment anyway. Aye great contribution

I'm looking forward to seeing Sibbick after a full pre-season. Came straight into our first team having not played since November (?)... it was always going to be difficult for him. Has pace to burn also.

Totally agree. He also has that physical transformation summer to come. Happened to Souttar. Came back one season and was an absolute monster. Sibbick still has a bit of a boys physique.

This could be one of the most important transfer window's in many years. Get it right then we can have 3 good years ahead of us, get it wrong, don't want to go there.

His CV isn't the greatest in the world but I've got a good feeling about Mr Grant. Reckon he might be that goalscoring midfielder we've been crying out for.

Regardless of leagues, as a midfielder he’s nearly hit 20 goals twice - don’t care if some were pens, that’s still a good return

Exactly. If you know to make those runs from midfield that gets you into goal scoring positions and you know to finish then he’ll get goals for us.

But there must be a Cameron, Hartley or Fulton out there somewhere.

Prime years ahead of him and considering that both Savage and Neilson rate him I have high hopes. Hopefully a Ryan Stevenson type signing.

Certainly getting there with the tattoos

Welcome Jorge!

Got to admit I don't know anything about him, not going to get carried away until I see him play a few games but I am hoping he is the attacking midfielder/No10 that we have been missing since Hartley/ Aguiar.

Would settle for him being a Stevo type who gets amongst the goals tbf.

Oh well things are starting to shape up nicely, Just the 5 more signings to go and were all set for the new season. :flag1:

Given our recent poor record of scoring from penalties, it will be nice to have a player who has a good record of scoring from them.

Welcome George.

I have a soft spot for Lincoln and he always seemed to be the name that stood out however no idea how he has been since he left. Fingers crossed.

We are trying to get the best that is available to us and within our remit of wages and fees.Gone are the days of us overspending our budget.

Seems to align with what Dazajambo posted that our interest on him is on hold as it looks much more likely we are going to get Simms back, but if we cant then we will sign Shankland.

Couple of guys at my work down south support Oxford and Cambridge. I asked them if they rated Jorge Grant when they watched him for Peterborough, and both more or less said the same.

"He always stood out when he played against us".

I suggest you take a look at James Tavernier’s career before he signed for Sevco.

Sometimes it’s about the right player at the right time. Mr Savage has done pretty well by us so far, so fingers crossed.

I think with Souttar his physique changed after one of his long injury layoffs and he had spent months working out in the gym.

Sibbick did look much leaner than I recall when he came back and it wasn't just his haircut to thank for that.

A big plus for me is that Jorge Grants delivery at set pieces is apparently superb.  I can see him taking all the corners and wide free kicks in the oppositions half.  My money is on him getting at least 8 (Craig Halkett header) assists next season!
