Neilson will be reminding his players that Hibs voted to expel us from the premier league.  It cost them over £100,000 but they still did it.

Not for me. You can’t fault his effort and desire, but technically nowhere near as good as Haring and Beni.

Plus he’s a guaranteed red card if he plays.

He was brilliant yesterday and hasn't been sent off yet ...

That's one good reason.  Another good reason is that they're pitiful losers and it will be embarrassing to all the players in maroon if we don't beat them.

He played a part in both goals yesterday but his use of the ball overall was poor. He’s also had about 7 or 8 bookings this season and gets caught up in the occasion too often. Wednesday night was an example.

We need calm and composure on Tuesday, especially in the middle of the park. Haring and Beni are yer men.

Does Haring not have more cards per min played than Devlin?

Not sure, wouldn’t be surprised. But at least Haring doesn’t go looking for a fight.

What would you go with for Tuesday?

With all 3 fit and available I'd be tempted to play a midfield 3. Either go 3-5-2 or 4-3-3. Both have advantages and disadvantages but Devlin showed yesterday that he can be a good attacking outlet as well as aggravating the opposition.

That is definitely an option but I feel like they’re there for a real hammering, so probably wouldn’t sacrifice one of the front 3. So if we played 3 in midfield probably best to play 4 at the back.

We could play Beni more advanced in a high press, he could win possession much higher up the pitch with Haring and Devlin a bit deeper.

However, I think we will continue with

3-4-3 and it'll be Gordon, Souttar, Halkett, Kingsley, Atkinson, Beni, Haring, Halliday, McKay, Boyce and Simms.

Halkett is out for 4 weeks

I'll leave it up to Robbie but I am somewhat attracted to the idea of Devlin lining up against Hibs.  They'll certainly lnow he's there and he's just the type to score his first goal against them.

This will be the last derby of the season so we need to make the most of it.

First thing haring done when he came on was commit a foul. Doesn't close down players as well as Devlin but does offer a better range of passing. He points a good game though.

I think Beni would sit deeper and Devlin press high instead.

Has Devlin been dropped for a game yet? Halkett is out so that's 1 wrong already.

Don Robertson is the ref on Tuesday. This may play with Neilsons thoughts of starting Devlin.  He is ridiculously card happy.

Was inches away from a red card and a pen. He's more calm on the ball than Devlin for sure but he also disappeared for stretches against Celtic.

Gordon

Sibbick - Souttar - Kingsley

Atkinson - Devlin - Beni - Cochrane

Boyce - Simms - McKay

This for me. With a warning to the whole front line to watch out for Porteous throwing himself into high tackles.

Is this the game where we scud them 8-0 and get revenge for 01/01/1973, not that I bear grudges for nearly 50 years or anything.

Already done it on the 19th of May 2012  5-1.

All jambos and they know it..

They seem to be dreading it which doesn't sit right with me.

I much prefer it when they're bang up for it and full of themselves. Especially as that's usually when we win down there.

I've never felt so confident before a derby in my life.

For that reason, we'll probably lose.

He was the ref for our game at Ibrox so maybe thinking of that mate? Showed 8 yellow cards that day but generally averages 3.18 per game ...

I would swap them around.   Could do with Sibbick’s pace in the middle.

We really need to win midfield in this game have feeling Robbie will go to a back 4 with halkett out and 3 in middle

             Gordon

Atkinson souttar sibbick Kingsley

        Devlin Beni

             Haring

             McKay

      Simms Boyce

Haring can always drop back if we need to change to 3 at the back aswell

I don't think it'll be such a bad thing. He is bringing far to much distraction to the team and don't want the team unsettled because of one player. Hopefully we get a replacement in asell though

Not directly relevant, but my favorite bit of opposing team banter remains the Partick fans who, when our relegation was all but confirmed but Hibs was very much in doubt, sang, "You're going down with the Hibees!" at Tynecastle.
