Souttar getting booed is not good for the team at all, I don't blame the fans and this is why he should not be playing!

First sentence far too sensible for the boo'ers to understand.  One big boo in warm up should have been job done and then 100% behind the team, all of them.

Never been so embarrassed to be a hearts fan.

If you’re booing souttar you’re not a hearts fan.

Grow up.

Don't think you get to make that call.

Exactly! This is a slap in the face to the true Hearts supporters, this guy should not be wearing the jersey again, end of!

Should never boo a Hearts player whilst he is performing as this negatively impacts other players and could cost us the game. ****ing idiots.

In the same vein wtf os Neilson thinking even starting Souttar.

I would love to hammer these pricks tonight. **** them and their tainted double and their wee family club feel. Let's batter them.

Not supporting your team is pretty much the definition of not being a hearts fan.

Looks like I've underestimated the stupidity of Neilson, this is going to damage us today, an absolute own goal, wtf are you doing by starting Souttar?

This is the biggest thing for me.

Hearts prove at every single opportunity how out of touch with the fans they are.

Only Hearts my arse.

Aye, I was saying exactly that. I, a man of sound mind, was saying the manager should read Kickback for his team selection. I wasn’t just venting my frustration at Souttar being picked or anything. Nah, I was just being an unreasonable nutter. Glad you all made me see the error of my ways oh wise chronicles of wisdom.

Aaaand another one.

There’s absolutely no doubt Souttar should NOT be in the team.

It was obvious the fans would show their feelings towards him, and this is not good for the team.

This. He shouldn't be playing but  this is embarrassing, it's like a night at the Panto.

Seem to be plenty there supporting the team tonight and showing their displeasure at one of our current players showing clearly that he no longer wants to be in that team.

Predictably the persistent booing of Souttar has gotten the crowd in a bad mood and now the team are getting chippy.

Mistake by Neilson to play him this match but please, lads, STFU.

The club is bigger than John Souttar. Booing puts us at risk of losing. Boo him when he eventually signs for rangers. Not now.

As predicted by absolutely every one apart from the manager obviously.

Ref is going to give us f all so players need to fight and not wait for a decision.

Managers pick teams based on various events. They might pick a defender for height at set pieces, they may pick players based on who the referee is and if they have a tendency to book too much, they may pick players based on the weather conditions. All these considerations come into play. The crowd reaction to Souttar was widely expected, so was known. Therefore, playing him - knowing how the fans would react and therefore may affect the atmosphere of the game and maybe even team performance - is the manager’s fault. Not the fans.

If he didn’t want to be there he’d not be there.

Budge didn’t have a gun to his head at 6pm.

He’s our best defender by a country mile, it would be a farce to drop him.

There’s a reason the other two defenders who signed extensions didn’t have as hard a decision to make.

Neilson should have read the room and not played him based on the reaction being toxic for the whole team.

There’s been mistakes made by a few people in creating this situation but it’s not the fans.
