I don’t think they scanned my paper copy last time, just a quick look.
Would the club  legally be able to collect this data or even have the technology to scan it and get the ok that it’s real 🤔🤷🏾‍♂️?

That’s what I was hinting at on the last page. I think it’ll just be a visual check and that’ll be it.

I can't see how football clubs and night clubs etc are going to be issued with scanners that can read an NHS QR code, especially as the information will be there in black and white either a photograph or paper copy.

I noticed the cocktail marquee that was set up outside the Sheraton on Lothian Road had a sign saying entry only if double vaccinated. The doorsatff where just looking at phone/paper copies. No scanners to be seen.

A cursory glance will suffice for them I think.

I imagine that if they ask to see it and if they think it might be a counterfeit or somebody else's, they would want to scan it and ask for more ID.

Mine has my name and DOB prominently on the front and I have a photocopy of my drivers licence on the other side of the sheet.

For everyone's information:

Called the ticket office, they said if you're vaccinated outwith Scotland they have to accept other kinds of proof so the vaccination cards are fine.

It says that in the link they posted and that I put up in here.

I imagine something quite different if I’m honest. A cursory look and wave you through is my guess.

My paper copy doesn't have any QR code.

i originally got mine back in August not long after they announced they would be needed for football games. However, as I'd pointed out to them back when I got my first jab the NHS had recorded my surname with an incorrect spelling (and it didn't show any QR codes at that stage). I then contacted my doctor and asked them to correct the records, and once that was done I called NHS Inform and asked them to send me an updated vaccine statemeent earlier this month. When it arrived it included two QR codes on it, which can be scanned if needs be (if indeed that is something that can happen, as others have mentioned businesses may not be able to scan these details with their own equipment, its all really assumptions at the moment as to what might/could happen at the turnstiles tomorrow). At least it looks as if the statement won't be needed for either of the upcoming games in Perth and Aberdeen, something less to stick in a jacket pocket.

The codes can be scanned by an app designed specifically for that purpose

Yes, two different apps. One to show your vaccine status and one for checking the vaccine Status of others. It seemingly just shows up a green tick if the QR code shows double vaccinated

It’s just a feeling but I doubt they’ll scan anything. A visual check is all I expect.

You may well be right. Certainly for the game at Ibrox last weekend I don't think any Hearts fans were asked to show details, unless they had got their quota from those who entered the stadium fairly early.

I'm sure that will happen in almost all cases, but the point I was answering was; do they have the right to scan and ask for identification? Which they will have and will maybe do just to demonstrate the point, and put off the small minority of anti-vaxers who want to buck the system.

If I knew one of them and thought they were going to the game I would do my best to tip off the stewards, so that might be the scenario that leads to a Qcode check.

All of the anti-Covid measures have been based on the concept that most of the people will follow most of the rules most of the time. Yes, you’ll get people who break them or try to bend them, but it’s the overall effect you’re interested in.

Our midfield is a different beast from last season

I don’t  expect them to get any luxury time on the ball

Charlie Adam will be blowing out his arse after 30 minutes if we have the right tempo

Expect 3-0 win 🇱🇻🇱🇻

Didn’t realise that. So how do you get this app and what’s it downloaded onto?

Thanks for the info although like you I requested my paper copy back in August as I was going abroad and needed it for travel.

I logged into my NHS account today and have downloaded and printed the record of vaccination and this one has two QR codes but is basically has the same info on it.

He will last a half then his legs will weigh 8 tonnes (twice their usual).

I do t thik he will get much change out of Beni

Also, 3-0 Hearts. Dundee are pish but I think they will be well up for it for the fist 30 mins before they realise they are actually going home with HeeHaw!

Horatio Caine

I'm sure our guys will be as keen as we are to put Dundee to the sword.  However, rather than go gung ho trying so hard to run them into the ground, they would be better taking a measured but clinical approach.  Patience, combined with precision.

Ideal is comfortable after 65. Make some subs and save a few legs for midweek. Just the usual Hearts! Not really

Phone

So all the stewards will have to download an app on their own phones to check other people’s QR code applies to them. Super. Think you may have misinterpreted. No need to be a smart arse though

That’s right. It’s an app that the security peeps can have on their phone to check your passport. In other words, they don’t need specialist scanners, just a phone.

I asked earlier how can someone scan your passport either in your phone or a paper copy. They said there’s an app available. Why would I download an app on my phone to check other people’s vaccine status?

Do you think they’ll be using a scanner app on their phones tomorrow?

So can anyone get access to this app that allows you to go around scanning people’s QR codes?🤣

You can download it but you need credentials to use it.
