So much for these players we should sign that are happy to sit on the bench.

::troll::

Exactly. Bjorn Jonsson took a while to get going at Hearts. When he did his career took off. Not saying this is true as it's the internet, but any player expecting to walk into the side, especially in a team doing well without him, can do one.

Genuinely think this has all stemmed from not looking his usual cheery self against Celtic and taking his boots off at half time in a bounce game.

Yup, and him being not his usual self could be unrelated to football.

He was number 21 at at least two different previous clubs

Beat me to it. From what we've seen so far he's not great. Claims to be a target man, yet he's shite in the air doesn't hold the ball up very well and his control is awful. Yet to be convinced he was genuinely our top target.
Regardless of whether or not the rumour is true.

Totally agree 6'5 when standing yet 5'6 when jumping. Easily replaced

Well that's not true. Remember one of his goals on his debut at Raith? He jumped to about 10 feet.

So he can do it, maybe he doesn't do it often enough?

All it takes is a rumour that one person on the internet starts for everyone to point out how crap one of our players is, and how terrible an attitude they have. Funny, that.

If he's walked out, hopefully he gets his act together and whatever has caused it gets ironed out and we all move on as team.

If he hasn't (which I suspect) then great 👍

Reported that Armand Gnanduillet has walked out of the club🤷‍♂️

Definitely a cause for concern because he normally leaves on a sedan chair.

Fact.

I could be imagining this but doesn’t he prefer a certain number in honour of an ex team mate or friend who died?

Nothing against the lad personally, but I haven’t seen anything from him so far to convince me he’s a decent fit for us.

The mantra “ get the ball in the box he will score” turned out to be pish. As an example, there were umpteen crosses into box at the Brora game and our lad won feck all v a postie and a mechanic.
Maybe best that there is a parting of the ways. No offence to the boy. Just one of these things.

Funny that, because he set up our winner vs Caley by wining the ball in the air and caused problems for Celtic in the air when he came on, nearly resulting in a goal for Souttar.

He can certainly jump...

Ginnelly wears 30 after his friend who died, Mbulu who used to play for Motherwell

Yeah. He jumped high once.

Ok, I'm not going to find screenshots of all the headers he's won!

Must admit, I'd been expecting more from him based on that opening 2-goal cameo against Raith.

He won the knockdown for walkers goal no? And also won the header in the box that leader to souttar forcing a save from the keeper. That's just a few

Jury is out with Gnando still. Don't mind him but he needs to do more.

The lack of celebration after the winning goal I wouldn't read too much into. I remember Sow being like that.

Mind you, Sow did leave 😂 but it was for £1M+....

Won 100% of his areal duels against Caley the other week.

As unlikely as it sounds if it has happened at least it’s in a transfer window so he can be replaced.

I like him but not sure he can manage with the amount of service he gets

Doesn’t matter if he won ten headers v Caley, if he’s acting as a bad egg it’s not healthy for the training ground.

We ain't spending 500k for someone who is soon to be out of contract. I said the other day I can see him signing next season if Robbie is still here. Or January for 150-200k.

If we’re paying that much for a striker who looking at his stats is unproven at this level at 25 years old, then we really are stupid.

Get a loan in until summer, see how Shankland goes under Coutts and get him on a pre contract.

Unfortunately gives me the vibe of Dennis Wyness about him.

You suggested the formation that everyone spent a season moaning about and quite rightly so. We were turgid playing a 4-2-3-1. I thought maybe it was dry humour

Nothing wrong with the 4231 formation. Problem previously was key players missing or out of form plus too many long balls bypassing the midfield. With Haring fit alongside Beni we have a solid base in front of the defence. The full backs can bomb on and dropping to 2 central defenders allows us to play a 10 behind Boyce. Need to find a good 10 tho and we need to play thru the midfield.

You do wonder whether Shankland was a good deal for Utd. Got them promoted but at some cost and with no bid incoming and refusing to extend his contract.

Decent size of debt amassed on one signing

Definitely backfired. They should have sold him in January 2020 when they were well top and loads Of clubs interested.  Instant profit but wanted to make sure of promotion then Covid hit

Maybe we’re trying to send Gnanduillet to Dundee United to get Shankland. If I was him I’d walk out for that too…

You can only admire someone refusing to go to Dundee.
