The voting swings could indicate tactical voting.

Indeed. I know it's just one example, but my mum tactical voted this year and it was the first time she'd ever done so.

Intresting that the seats the Nationalists have held their vote share has dropped in most. Could public opinion be swaying more away from independence than thought?

Im not sure I think the media portrayal of Covid may have an effect , also you are looking at Greens vote going up a bit. Postal votes may also show an increase in voters for your Unionist parties. Its going to be difficult to find any patterns for a while i think

Small signs of tactical voting. The number of seats is one thing but its overall vote count that will decide what SNP does next.

Do NS and SNP risk going for it if lokks like 50/50 chance. If they don't, could she face pressure to resign from within.

If she does, what happens if she loses?

I don't like her, but I don't under estimate her political smarts either.

Could be tough decision coming up

There's definitely tactical voting going on here, not a chance in hell that 23% of Scots want to vote Tory, and the share of vote I wouldn't read too much into either because there's quite a few swingers in there as well. It's estimated that around 35% of Labour voters would favour Independence, with around 10% of Tory voters also favouring independence, and around 50-60%% of LIb Dem voters as well, however believe it or not, there's around 5% of SNP voters who have stated they would vote against it, and they only vote for SNP because they like the way they run the country, but don't want to leave the union.

It's a funny old game...

Not gonna lie, I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean huge as they have lost 10% or huge as in good on them holding it?

As for the second part about their list vote share well, no idea.

Good for the SNP. The Tories really could've done with winning that seat.

Moray will be interesting.

Falkirk East - SNP hold. SNP lose share of vote to Labour.

I wondered where that crook Michelle Thomson had ended up - turns out she’s back in the SNP! Not sure if she’s still ripping off the poor though.

What pub did you work in?

BTW The Star Bar is is one of the best pubs in Glasgow, they offer £3 three course meal to help the elderly in the area. Awful, isn't it? Not a great sign at all.

It was Logue's Bar when I was there.

Regarding the Star, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days, hadn't had a refurb since the 70s and the 3 course meal was, whilst filling and cheap, crap. I'm sure it is great for the local oldies but to the average Joe walking past, 3 courses for £3 screams dive, which it was.

Now, this was 10 or so years ago so maybe it's all different in the area nowadays, but when I was there, even the regulars in the boozer advised me against walking home after work.

Edit - Logue's became the Maxwell Arms and is now, according to Google, a dentists.

East Lothian biggest result so far.

Ayr and Moray are ones to watch.

Edinburgh Central is today as well I think. Another one that's close and I think the SNP will be targeting.

Looks like there was some tactical voting. Labour's share of vote went up and Tory went down. But not enough to combat increase in SNP vote.

Good hold in Caithness that, that was one that was expected to be under a bit of threat with tactical voting.

No mate you can have your views but you dont debate anything just have a bitter outlook on anything different to you. My best mate is a 31 year old single female who is as Tory as it gets , difference she does not behave like people like yourself do.

It should be at least 65% they need as you know their soft dafties will melt away once the bribes and freebies go. Their vote is a fantasy vote built on lies.

You have to add in independents and green also. Its not quite as simple as that 50/50 is def fair as thats what we see everywhere. Its also not necessarily unionist , it can be tactical and brexit related aswell as unionism.
