Depending on how good or bad it is for the respective parties, it can & is spun to suit. But what is inescapable, is the fact that those swing %'s are people at the end of the day. Not a graph. It all adds up. Say, hypothetically it averages out as 5% swing to either Labour or Tory nationally. That's 5% of a potentially independence voting proportion of the Scottish population, that's indicated that indyref2 isn't perhaps a main concern for them. Right now. You can't in one breath accuse WM of not upholding the will of Democracy by refusing a 2nd referendum, then in the same breath not take into account what appears to be a tangible concern for a few thousand people. People that may or may not, tip you towards eventual independence. Sturgeon I think, is smarter than that. But again I'm sorry to repeat myself, I have my doubts whether or not she'll be given time. The swing % is going to have more of an affect on the results we see from the list tomorrow. I don't think that there is an appetite for an Indy referendum in the circumstances we find ourselves with the biggest recession in living memory, and think it would be foolish to attempt one in the next five years. To clear things up about most of the rubbish people read: Govanhill and Glasgow southside is the best place I've lived - I was brought up in the east end, also lived in west end (couldn't get back to southside quick enough - students are awful people to live near). Been living here the last 7 years; people who say it's bad or it's dangerous don't live here, they rely on news reports or statistics to suit their agenda, but usually they just have leanings to the right and don't like people with different coloured skin and hard to pronounce names. Of course, like everywhere, there's aresholes. But I've never had any negative experiences living here. In my 43 years, I've been lucky to spend a total of about 15 years in Glasgow southside and I couldn't recommend it higher to anyone who's looking to move to Glasgow. Places like Cranhill, Baillieston and Easterhouse in the east end are the places you need to worry about. It gets a bad press but it really is a cool place to live - I have the best craft beer shop and bar in Glasgow 5 mins from my flat, plus food places covering every country you can think of. Big thumbs up from me.

Shanks said no
Looking at the results so far I would say very few seats are going to change hands on the constituency list. Would estimate less than 5 key however will be the list votes. If voters have blindly voted snp again then nothing much changes and the parliament will again have a similar look. However if the nationalist vote voted tactically to green or Alba then they should be in a better place. The unionist vote can move about and it will be swings and roundabouts on their side time will tell note -this is meant to be a non political post just looking at numbers

If she wins 2 seats by 1 vote but loses 1 seat by 3, then the numbers don't stack up. If another referendum called and lost, then that might be opportunity gone forever and NS's career is over. People could also vote Green but may not necessarily vote for independence. Loads of questions to answer before they have balls to call referendum. It's a big call. Malinga the Swinga
Small signs of tactical voting. The number of seats is one thing but its overall vote count that will decide what SNP does next. Do NS and SNP risk going for it if lokks like 50/50 chance. If they don't, could she face pressure to resign from within. If she does, what happens if she loses? I don't like her, but I don't under estimate her political smarts either. Could be tough decision coming up
