Tazio Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 You’ve got to be a special kind of arsehole to punch another rider, especially in these conditions of speed and rider numbers. Quote
Cade Posted June 11, 2022 Author Posted June 11, 2022 Thrown off the race. Should also be prosecuted. That could have caused a horrible crash. Quote
Cade Posted June 15, 2022 Author Posted June 15, 2022 Pog skooshing the 1st stage of the Tour of Slovenia. Some boy. Quote

Tazio Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Cavendish wins the UK road championships. Shame he’s looking very unlikely to go to the TdF. Quote
Cade Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Lots of national championships on this week. TdF next friday! Quote

Cade Posted June 30, 2022 Author Posted June 30, 2022 I wonder if any bookies will give you a market on Geraint Thomas falling off his bike at any stage of the Tour? Quote

Cade Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 Geraint stayed upright! Big daftie forgot to take his gillet off and did the entire TT with it flapping around Quote
Greedy Jambo Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Apparently the Tour de France starts tomorrow. Quote
Cade Posted July 2, 2022 Author Posted July 2, 2022 Absolute chaos and carnage. First week is always full of crashes. Quote
Tazio Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) A messy last few km today but happy that Jakobsen got the stage after all the problems he’s had. And a couple of things. I just can’t take to Van Aert somehow. Supremely talented rider but there’s something about him. Also despite following pro cycling for years I discovered today that there are no rider number that end in a 0 in the TdF. Edited July 2, 2022 by Tazio Quote

Tazio Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 14 hours ago, SecN said: Why would their be? I’d just never realised. Every team must be assigned a block of numbers with the first rider having the 1 at the end of their number and 8 riders per team so there won’t be any numbers ending in 9 either. And Van Aert hits the deck today. Seems ok though he has been having a good feel of his left arm and shoulder. Quote
Cade Posted July 6, 2022 Author Posted July 6, 2022 Van Aert very, very nearly down again after his team car slammed on the brakes. I'm pretty sure he clipped the wing mirror as he bumped his way past. Quote
Tazio Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 This is absolute carnage. Top quality riders getting popped out all over the place. Quote

Cade Posted July 6, 2022 Author Posted July 6, 2022 That stage was every bit as good as imagined. Great stuff. Quote
Tazio Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 So it turns out Roglic dislocated his shoulder when he crashed today so just calmly popped it back in himself. I’ve done that before and let me assure you it’s more than a little painful. Quote
Cade Posted July 7, 2022 Author Posted July 7, 2022 Glad that was raw sound footage and not over a soundtrack. Great stuff. Quote

There’s a great clip on YouTube of the last few km leading to the finish line through a busy town. Shocking how much shouting and direct hands on contact between riders there is. And mildly terrifying. I don’t think people who don’t either regularly watch cycling or ride a bike realise the skill in riding that close at full tilt. Quote
Cade Posted July 7, 2022 Author Posted July 7, 2022 Just the 220km today. Nice wee jaunt through the countryside. Quote
stu Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 And there's the winner right there. He's not letting go of the yellow jersey now. Absolute animal of a man. Quote

Cade Posted July 11, 2022 Author Posted July 11, 2022 I meant Saturday's stage was easy(ish) Sunday was barry, the first proper mountain stage and it was great. Pinot heartbreak once again. Couldn't begrudge Jungels the win. Quote
