Retired because of his past association / friendship with a sex offender.

We'll probably never know for sure if Randy did anything wrong after all he doesn't drink, doesn't party and doesn't sweat.

The whole thing is disgusting.  From the media not pursuing and it only resurfacing when america brings it back up to the other royals not telling him to speak to the FBI.

This never goes away and impacts on the future of the royals massively.

Hence pushing willie and Kate as the celebrity couple.

That shite doesn't work nowadays.

He has a honorary military title as an Admiral for the Sea Cadet Corps.

Be a big statement if they no longer want that to be the case

It's amazing that he's done nothing wrong but is having to retire from these things.

Imagine losing all that because someone just to talk to you so that they can help others.

The media and his family are trying ther best.  Fergie was doing the media rounds a couple of weeks ago and there was a 'positive' story about Beatrice this morning.

They know he is currently ****ed and are using anything.

Too late.

Id love to see him totally flogged over all this, but I also think if the Yanks want him for questioning then we should swap him for the boot that killed young Harry Dunn - until that point I'm happy for Andrew to bury his head in the sand.

As a witness, not a suspect, that is his key status in this, that is how he can get away with stonewalling the FBI, because the FBI want to talk to him about Jeffrey Epstein, not about any alleged offences he may have committed, and until his status changes there is nothing anybody can do to touch him.

You, me, the world & his dog all know that if Andrew were allowed to be questioned by the FBI, there is a fair chance Andrew would incriminate himself, so that's not going to happen, however if he's found lilable in the civil case, then the calls for the FBI to open a criminal investigation into Andrew would almost certainly grow.

If the FBI are competent, I'd imagine that they would have already looked at Andrew and any possible wrong doing on his behalf, the result of which will perhaps be known in due course.

Interesting to see if anything happens next.

Alex Salmond had the full weight of the British state against him and Prince paedo is hardly mentioned. About time the low life Royal Family alleged criminal was called out for what he is.

The Ryder Cup is a biennial men's golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States. The competition is contested every two years with the venue alternating between courses in the United States and Europe. It takes place this year in America.

Prince Andrew is a staunch supporter of Europe who has attended regularly, and has, of course paid his own way. Regretfully owing solely to the pandemic he will be unable to attend this year.

The royals/house of lords are a useless freeloading anachronism and a president and U.S style Senate and House would be preferable but I don't see it changing. Andrew is a parasite who should be made to face the music.

It's possible that Andie is trying to hide something.  Possible.

In an affidavit, the process server said he arrived at The Royal Lodge the morning of August 26 and talked to the head of security, who said the security team had been instructed not to allow anybody trying to serve legal documents onto the grounds and "not to accept service of any court process," according to the affidavit.
The process server said he was told anything left there would not be forwarded to the defendant, the affidavit said. The process server said he telephoned Prince Andrew's attorney and left a message, according to the affidavit.

It’s fascinating how some people can refuse to be served court papers.

I was not even sure that was a thing!

”you must attend for interview on blah blah”

me - “ I’m not opening that , take it away”

”ok, sorry to bother you , that’s the matter closed then”

I know how this will pan out. He'll ignore the court, the case will happen without him,  he'll lose. The settlement will be eye watering,  enough to bankrupt the royal family...

... but the Tories will cover it by increasing national insurance!

You heard it here first.

For the case to procede to the next stage, the court has to be satisfied that the legal papers have been served, from the above statement, I'm not sure that the court would be satified that they have been served.  Too much wiggle room for Andy's legal team to say he never got them.

The trick here is to hand the papers to Andrew's chief of staff/equerry, because you are never going to hand them to Andrew directly.

Seems to have moved on slightly, BBC Breakfast this morning reported that they were served to a police officer the following day.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58523119

Lawyers for the woman who has accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse claim they have successfully served him with legal papers.

Virginia Giuffre has launched a civil case against the prince in New York - and legal papers have to be "served" before the case can proceed.

Her lawyers say they were served on 27 August, being left with a police officer at Windsor's Royal Lodge.

Prince Andrew denies all the claims made by Ms Giuffre.

Why is he avoiding things if he has nothing to hide and is completely innocent?

He must think it's all just going to go away.

Thankfully not a chance of that nowadays.

He has one hell of a thick privileged skin

“Bullish” Prince Andrew believes he could return to public life as soon as the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next year, sources have revealed.

The Duke of York has told his closest confidants that the scandal surrounding sexual assault allegations will “blow over”.

And he is said to be “utterly convinced” that he will brush off claims of “rape in the first degree” from a former sex slave of his disgraced late pal Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew, 61, has earmarked a return to the royal front line in time for the Queen’s historic anniversary next year.

Despite palace sources’ insistence that Andrew will “not take part” in any of the official celebrations – when Her Majesty will mark a record-breaking 70 years on the throne – the Duke believes there is time to salvage his battered reputation.

You've also got to ask why he stopped his royal duties if he's done nothing wrong?

The lot of them are just greedy *******s.

The queen bumping her own taxes with 10 million in offshore accounts, Charles not charging full rent for that prison that used to pay a peppercorn rent and his environmental credentials while owning the waitrose distribution centre.

Fergie getting into 20 million dept that meant she had to present shows in the states to earn money.

The whole think is warped in modern society.

This country doesn't grow up until they don't matter.

The only way any of that can happen is for him to clear his name, and that isn't going to happen without him facing the music.

It wouldn't get reported...

That is probably the only thing that'll give him the hard time he deserves.

I bet there are a few ex employees of him that are loving it due to hiw he used to treat them.  Supposed to be a power tripping tyrant.

The good thing is that the media in the states won't let this drop.  Them and the American justice system.

I bet he is having a fantastic day today..

"Thick"  is very appropriate for Andy.     In the car-crash interview he did with Emily Maitliss, he seemed proud of himself for spending so much time with Epstein - "It was a wonderful opportunity for me to learn from him"   ..... or words to that effect.       Cracking own-goal by His Royal Highness right there.

We saw the return of Ronaldo to our shores yet he settled a case out of court paying a large sum to make it go away

Many of these cases end up being about the money yet Andrew could hardly follow Ronaldo's example so has chosen to ignore the process but you know it won't go away

You would like to think he and the 'palace' would look to help but you can also see where it could lead with every relationship he ever had under scrutiny and any link with a royal visit for example made public...mind you we are talking about a man who was linked with Koo Stark in the past

I don't trust the American legal system an inch nor a word that comes out of their mouths re following a process but you have to think there are ways to handle this in a better manner

Just ask the family of Harry Dunn though and how difficult it is to deal with them (the system) and the  'american is always right attitude'
