Ties to be played by October 1st....

They are clearly not even thinking about suspending lower level football

Hope the online stream will be busy to give one of the good guys a nice financial boost!!

PS. The above takes into effect dismissing the "one game at a time" that gets trotted out :whistling:

Since my last post I’m hearing Scot gov have suggested all football below championship be suspended for a few weeks. No idea if source is sound but is well positioned to know.

I gather that balls numbers 6 and 27 are in the process of being warmed up

They’re frozen, the size of tennis balls and have jaggy bits and are filled with large magnets. Just in case.

Wouldn't be a surprise.

Would be a nonsense.  East Lothian recorded 9 for the second day in a row.  its already on the way down, except in weegie land which is still foosty as.......

Has there ever been a situation where there has been 3 possibilities of teams in the draw before? Camelon or Brora or Hearts

Don't think I've ever seen that before.

Don't think I've ever seen that before.

It's happened many times before, due to repeated postponements or in the days of multiple replays.

Quite a thaw today and forcast tomorrow for Denny looks favourable. Surely we can expect our opponents to be settled tomorrow night 🙂

Then we have to wait 3 weeks until the game in the Highlands is playable...

I’ve seen it loads myself, but I asked the same question on Twitter earlier today. Have Hearts ever been involved in a draw whilst waiting on a previous round’s match being played, either awaiting a winner or still involved ourselves? I don’t remember us being one of three teams our potential opponent could face.

Very good draw from our point of view, let's hope we take care of business. All going well, can we get celtic at tynie in the next round, I want them early this year!

I had a great time with Stranraer supporters in the Green Tree  decades ago before we beat them 3-0. Suppose I have to hate them now if they voted against us.

The draw is making me feel quite nostalgic for the 1970's: Rovers or Albion or County v. United or City was pretty much the norm. Particularly in 1979.

I do recall that in 1978, when Hearts' first season in the 2nd tier had meant no derbies, there was much anticipation after the QF draw came out Hibernian or Patrick Thistle v. Heart of Midlothian or Dumbarton. After various postponements and replays it ended up Patrick v. Dumbarton.

If Hearts do get through to play Stranraer it will be only the fifth competitive meeting between the clubs. An astonishing stat, I feel, considering both were formed in the 1870's.

From midnight tonight I believe.

I wonder if  Hearts and Dunfermline will get together and reinstate tomorrow's fixture?

According to the BBC -

"Scottish Cup ties scheduled before 1 February will be rescheduled."

Tonight's game may be allowed and the rest postponed?

No they haven’t, the SFA have. This has nothing to do with the SG.

SG were clearly involved in that decision as Nicola knew all about it, including the thinking behind it
