I had an issue with mines at Christmas time.  It was sent free of charge to the Philips Olympic shaver centre (which I thought was random!). It got repaired and was back with me within 4 days. A brilliant service. Hopefully you get yours back soon!

Good to know...yip, mine is going to the same place

They do get good reviews on repairs / timescales...so here's hoping......reckon mine is around 4-5 years old now though so not sure if that makes a difference to repair / parts..!?

I’m unsure on that mate, mines required a new pump as I couldn’t pour a pint without it completely frothing up. Got regular updates from them throughout the process and I remember being very impressed with the service. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for yours.

World Cup Lager Keg Pack (3 x 6L Kegs) (beerhawk.co.uk)

*Price per pint based on cost of keg pack (£89.85) - Tokens credited for purchase (£4.50) - £5 Beer Tokens per keg returned (£15) - Beer Tokens credited if England win (£28.82) ÷ 10.5 pints per keg (31.5 pints) = £1.32 per pint.

Can't see me cheering on England  and not a fan of bud.

But maybe of interest to some.

If England win? Win what, the World Cup?

I'd want it all free if that was to happen.

v Iran.

It's effectively a free keg of Bud, if they win the match, I guess.

Therein lies the problem. Wan't England to get stuffed every time they play and wouldn't give Bud to my dog. The Czech Budvar on the other hand......

Got a keg of spaten this morning, it's currently chilling in the garden in the snow.

Should be perfect for the France game...

Actually wanted Stella or jupiler (belgium being closest to french I could think of) but none left..

Spatens no bad

It's good stuff. I reckon the Lowenbrau is the best lager on the PD though.

Especially the Oktoberfest one.

Had the lowenbrau Oktoberfest in Blackpool in October...

Took pd to caravan, best idea I've ever had. 😂😂🍺

Was considering diebels this morning instead of spaten but you run a risk with unknown don't you?..

Yep one of my go to’s. Agree with above though Lowenbrau is probably my favourite

Snap.

Jupiler and Spaten are close seconds.

Lowenbrau, jupiler,Spaten and Stella all superb on the prefect draft.

Hertog Jan is pretty decent as well.

Will give the Hertog a bash at some point.. (Would like some info on what the Diebels tastes like aswell.. ;) )

Had the Lowenbrau, Lowenbrau Oktoberfest, Jupiler and now Spaten.

Poured first Spaten 10 minutes ago, perfect straight from the off at 4 degrees. No letting extra foamage settle, just perfect first time.

I'm gonna have to walk the dog before the game as I might not be able to after it.

Thunder and Lightning

Had the perfect draft cider thr other week. Was nice. Don't use it as much anymore. Bit of a gimmick. Better than a can but each lint is 3 or 4 times the cost of a can.

Got my freebie order from kegs returns in yesterday. Trying 3 new ones as opposed to my go to Stella. First one to be tried was Cervezas la Virgen Madrid at 5.2%. Have to say very decent indeed! Franziskaner Weissbier and Leffe Christmas next.

Green Mountain is a nice IPA

The Goose Midway is my absolute favourite atm, Dave. Not too strong, so you can sink a keg of an afternoon, prepare an acceptable dinner, and still have room for a nice bottle of pinot noir.

Still to try that. I like the goose Island but a bit strong for a session.

Aye, it has more of a citrus punch than the Goose Island too.

Thread bump...

I've always arranged collection of my empty kegs online, but I've now got a few kegs that I don't have a box for (because the original box was falling apart when they delivered it).

When you return kegs to one of the shops, do you need to have them boxed or can they be returned individually?

Just hand the empty keg in, no box required.

Like Dazo says just hand them in. Thanks for reminding me to get mine back, I've got 6 in the garage. 👍

You don't need to use the box to return the kegs. Just double up black bin bags and the DPD driver will pick them up.

New reward scheme from Beerhawk.

Quote

What is 'Spring Rewards'?

We’ve taken your feedback and built a trial loyalty program which rewards you with a higher discount tier when you purchase more kegs. You can get involved straight away. We think you’ll love it.

There are two tiers to unlock with Spring Rewards

  • Buy 3 kegs between 1st Jan and 31st March - You get 10% discount until the end of June
  • Buy 6 kegs between 1st Jan and 31st March - You get 15% discount until the end of June

When you hit the tiers above, your discount will be available to you within 48 hours and will be automatically applied at checkout.

When you place your next order, you’ll see your discount automatically applied at the checkout. No need for a code.

Any kegs you have purchased since 1st January will go towards unlocking these reward levels.

For your discount to apply you will need to be logged in and order kegs in multiples of 3. E.g. 3 kegs, 6 kegs, 9 kegs etc.

Wife finishes at 3. Should be done in Asda, home and poured by half 4.

Looking FWD to it, love a hels style lager.

I generally use the shop in Wallyford to get my kegs. Any other current locations in the Edinburgh area with a decent choice?

Really? I've always found that they had a good selection and plenty of them.

There is another shop in Prestonpans stocks them but they don't have a great selection.
