After speaking to mates who support Hearts, Celtic & Rangers, I get the feeling that ourselves and Rangers have enjoyed the season more than Celtic fans.

I sense that they’re still reeling from losing the title last year, and Rangers fans are on their way to a very winnable Europa League final, which I reckon you’d take over the league any day, especially as they’ve already stopped 10IAR.

I might be miles off here, but it does seem like Rangers efforts in Europe have overshadowed Celtics erm, historic and incredible achievement, of winning the league despite the challenges and harsh reality of having an £80+ million squad and one of the biggest wage bills in the league.

And as for ourselves, we’ve cantered to a 3rd place finish, securing group stage European football and we’ve got a place in the Scottish Cup final to look forward to, despite it being our first season back in the Prem.

Can all sets off fans not be happy?

If Rangers win nothing, I can see lots of upside down smiles.

However, Winning the Europa league will be fantastic for them.

A sc win will keep them from greetin.

Celtic have won the double and have secured ucl group stage football, No idea why they wouldn't be happy no matter what rangers do.

We've came up and stormed 3rd place and the rewards that brings.  A good season.

A sc win and it's verging on our best season ever( since winning the league).

Since 1960 our best season has been 2005/06. Being runners up and Scottish cup winners.

Rangers got their standard penalty,  to possibly prolong the title race?

Phew. Was getting worried there, for 55 minutes.

Don’t sweat it. You’ve been around long enough to know what’ was coming.
It is after all Scottish football.

They should just give Sevco a one goal start in every game saves SFA sending the ref an email the night before

Of-course they can, I haven’t stated otherwise.

Again, I haven’t stated that Celtic fans would be unhappy with their season, because that simply isn’t true.

The point I’m making is that from the sample of Hearts, Celtic & Rangers fans I know, Celtic seem to almost be the least enthused. My only thoughts as to why that can be is the fact that winning the league title and league cup is all very well and good, despite the enormous wage gap and gulf in resources, but they still haven’t really got over the fact that they chucked the holy grail of 10IAR at the last hurdle.

I'd argue this would be - If we win the sc.

In 2006 imo we should have won the league.

Internal strife cost us the title, imo.

2nd was good, but 1st was very possible.

This year I never expected any better than 3rd and even then not as easy as we made it.

Europa group stage football as a reward  is massive.

98 was also better than 06 imo.

We only get Europa group stage football if we win our qualifying match.

If we don't then it's Europa Conference group football.

I know.

I meant European group stage football.

Thought that would be obvious.

Alas not.

Hibs won't be taking anything from tonight. The only team they are capable of relegating is themselves.

Fings wot annoy me: watching the ICT v Arbroath game and they have stick the away fans in the corner out of sight of the tv cameras. It just looks like there is nobody there.

Sometimes wish they would have some awareness of selling the game up here b

Or "Losing ground on 7th place to Livvy" party. Either way, it's fine.

this. Want them to lose as much £ as possible.  Dundee are down anyway so let’s see the vermin suffer financially

Hate Dundee but hope they thrash Hibs.

It will keep the Relegation/play off thingy in the balance a wee while longer and, well, Hibs will be thrashed.

They sell a guaranteed 4 Celtic v Newco games. That’s the level of their awareness.

The rest of us are schedule bait.

Honestly wouldn't surprise me if Hibs lie down.

They've shown in the past they don't care about the financial rewards of league placings.

Give Dundee hope of staying up. After all, Dundee did give most of them their best day.

That's exactly what the SFA considered when selling tickets for the cup semi and folk just moaned about it.

Same with Killie v Atbroath.

Decent support from Arbroath stuck up in the top tier .

All you could see was the empty bottom tier.

Like you say absolute no idea .

Sure Gérard mentioned this as well.

The SFA controlled the release of sections in an order which meant that the sections in view of the main TV cameras would be sold first.

BBC Alba showing an interview with Alan Maybury. Showed his goals against Dundee, Dunfermline and Kilmarnock but not his one against Partick. :ninja:

Yep, same as the Killie v Arbroath title decider, Arbroath fans stuffed away at the back of the stand leaving a big chunk of empty seats down behind the goal.

I'm sure it's La Liga that stipulate clubs have to sell all seats that face the TV cameras first so it looks better on TV. Have to consider something similar here really

Just saw Ked's post too. Great minds and all that...

Malinga the Swinga

Edinburgh City v Annan on BBC Alba.

City denied clear penalty for handball that ref somehow failed to spot.

Better atmosphere than Inverness v Arbroath.

Will stick with this game for a while.
