Were not DeidCo

You have to admit that home attendances of just over 6k means paying the bills is tough for your club at the moment. Assuming most of those in attendance were st holders your walk-up income from last night would be lucky to cover the costs of putting the game on.

You are making some assumptions that are wide of the mark.

Our annual turnover is just fine

Must be benefactors or sponsors money then as it’s certainly not fans money.

All three. Same as yourselves.

Covid had an impact of course, our annual accounts reflected a loss on £2.292M, however there was also an insurance payout a month after the accounts of £2.25M so in essence pretty balanced.

Nae exactly in DeidCo or indeed SevCo territory

Nah, there has been a reduction in season ticket holders as many have cited they are still abstaining from large crowds following Covid, however it was announced way back in June that we had sold over 7000+ Season ticket Holders.

When we applied for attendances allowances for the early European ties, our Season ticket holders were 7,760 as we were awarded 5665 allocation (73% of season ticket holder base.

Not sure what the figure is now (certainly below 10k), but the figure announced must be attendance based rather than tickets sold

Let's face it, that crowd was an utter embarrassment regardless of weather, Covid or can't be arsedness.

Kilmarnock looking pretty poor and Tommy Wright looking clueless.

Thank God he never got Hearts job as their football is murder.

'All three. Same as yourselves.'

The Dandy Dons getting almost £150k per month from their fans are they?

Must be doing a roaring trade in stonewash denim and tasselled loafers down the club shop

Aberdeen spending an absolute wack this season, anything less than 3rd would be a disaster for Dave. Certainly aint making money from the attendances.

The areas of income vary and come from a variety of places. FoH will no doubt be higher than AberDNA (think it’s about double), buts that’s just one revenue stream.

I see the Aberdeen annual accounts turnover till 30th June 2021 was £11M, Hearts was £7.692M

Aberdeen effectively broke even, whilst Hearts made a £2M profit, so despite a lower turnover, you would say that Hearts commercially were more profitable.

You’ve probably answered this already but limiting the attendance to under 10k. What’s that all about?

Fantasy land comparing yourselves to rangers.

You should be looking at the likes of Dundee and Motherwell as your peers now.

It's a way to ensure the crowd doesn't go over 10k.

😜 Happy to help you out.

Your fans definitely give too much attention to this tribute act. Why the big clamour to get tickets for Ibrox to watch a new club?

At these levels turnover is such a poor measure of financial health. Such a high % driven by sporting success and TV money..

One bad season (or expulsion) and it flips on its head

Breaking even in the Covid yer is extremely good.

Getting a £2M profit is exceptional

It was a Hearts poster that suggested hoping the Taxman was watching. It’s natural then to reflect against DeidCo recent failures and state categorically, we’re nae them

Id also add that Aberdeen secured a deal for this season that all season ticket holders can opt to watch from home.

A lot take this option up whilst still not wanting to go to crowded events, other games like on Wednesday when the weather was very poor and a lot of people in the North East still not reconnected with power following the storm, they would have opted not to go to the game when they can watch at home

‘I’m not a member of the club, just a supporter, so I don’t know for sure, hence why I presume it was silly political gesticulating or they have factored in the watch from home deal.

I opt to go as that is my preference, but can understand why others opted to watch from home

Nope, not for Sky News.

Maybe you’re an editor and can suggest some other wording.

Didn’t you say when asked at the time, you’d been on holiday and hadn’t been following the news? Surely you’ve had time to read up about it now?

Surely, regardless off covid, a businessman should be trying to attract as many customers as he can. Once profits are sacrificed for ‘silly political gesticulating’ it’s time to start worrying imo. It’s not that long ago Dave Cormack said he was going to build a gap between Aberdeen and the other non OF clubs and then he decides to limit the clubs income. I just don’t understand the guy at all. He seems a very contrary type.

Yeah, that’s my point. Football clubs need to make money. When your chairman’s political views are at odds with that then it’s an issue and with covid here long term, not a trivial issue either.
