Well, probably a better option than Keena right now.

Maybe too soon to expect a miracle but hoping there is a bit more energy and belief now Levein's negative mindedness is gone and we have MacPhee and Donald Park to try and inspire in the short term.

Hope he links well with Uche. Can see the big man being isolated today.

Rumours going around he’s dropped.

ffs. He was effective in the Tynecastle game. Would be very disappointed if he was dropped.

If Uche's dropped, than the hoofball will certainly stop today.

Agree mate expecting a few changes and tbh why not, it’s not been working anyway

We're going to have to be far more of a threat up front if we're to progress today.

I had to sit down after reading that Wighton is starting but at least Macphee seems to be trying something different.

Perhaps a sensible decision leaving uche on the bench.

Bigger pitch means he'll be blowing out his arse quicker than usual.

He might be more effective later in the game, especially if it goes to extra time.

Uche caused them a ton of problems at tynie a couple of weeks ago. Would be absolutely mental to drop him if he’s not injured.

Austin has this thing where he changes the team up depending on the opposition. I know most teams will do that but Levein made a big deal of it in an interview last season.

Cheartin Beaton will probably send him off after five minutes

I mean did they sell out their initial allocation plus what we didn't sell.

No idea not interested in what they do.

I can’t imagine it’s true but if so I would agree.

I’m just trying to think what wightom brings over uche. I’m struggling to thing at what Wighton is better than Uche; I’m really struggling. It possibly removes our tendency to go long but I even doubt that.

Maybe a possible explanation would be uche carrying a knock/tight hamstrings. Caused I’m struggling to figure out the football logic.

Hamstring?

Surely those days are over

Agree - at least it's a plan -  recently we have been so predictable. Also decent idea to try to pass through rangers rather then boot it up in the air after pitty pattying round the back

Looking forward to being in a packed out Hearts end today, given that Levein was the only reason we weren’t selling 25k for this game.

Damour is absolute horseshit!!!

He will never make it at Hearts.

Cant control the ball, slow and goes back the way all the time. A Craig Levein. Player

So far yes but he can’t be this bad, Warnock played him most weeks in the Championship and he doesn’t suffer fools. Wouldn’t write him off yet.

He needs  to just start doing the basic things properly.

If he can do that then fine but if you can’t control the football from a 10yard pass we have a problem.

We might be looking at attack them from the off again and press hard. Perhaps Wighton is the better option for that tactic and then later in the game when he begins to tire we bring on Uche to cause utter mayhem in their backline.

More confident for this game than I was prior to Levein being punted. Realistically we will still lose this game but the removal of Levein has given me hope heading to Hampden that a result for us could be possible. I want to see us start fast and get in Rangers face from the first minute. If we do that we have a shot.

I’m going to say Hearts 2-1 come the end of Extra Time

Edit. This isn’t what I want to see, this is my guess as to what I think we will see. I’d prefer to see is on 4231 with Uche up top, Naismith in the 10 and walker and Meshino wide. Don’t think we will see this tho.

Do you want us to lose?

That is quite possibly the worst lineup I've ever seen

If we were, quite incredibly to go on to win the cup, it would arguably be one of our greatest ever cup wins given that we would have overcome Motherwell, Aberdeen, Rangers and Celtic to do so.

I meant to edit mine to say this isn’t what I want to see, this is my guess as to what we will see. MacPhee has been picking the side and shapes for months now. We will see the same set up as the cup final. Hope for penalties but will try nick a goal at set plays.

I’d be gobsmacked if Uche is dropped. He ragdolled then at Tynecastle

one player I’d imagine worries them

Why anyone would consider starting Wighton is beyond me.  The guy has done absolute F all since he came to the club and hasn’t even scored a goal for the club.  If this is true, and he only took 1 hour to pick the team, maybe he has been a big part of Leveins problem.  A 20% fit Naismith would be better than Wighton

Most baffling decision since Jamie Mole started ahead of Bednar, Pinilla and Jankauskas in the Champions league.

Certainly the polar opposite from last year's SC campaign

MacPhee hasn’t been picking the team and the shape. That’s complete and utter tripe.

Levein whilst under massive pressure allowed AP to pick the team and decide the shape. That's really what you are saying?

Naismith and Washington would have started but hey... they're injured or not yet fit.     This is still a fact and it can't just be glibly ignored.    Yet is.
