There seems to be bizarre post match interviews being discussed online by Tom English and Ewan Murray where it looks like Levein and our defenders are arguing FOR the fact that we scored two own goals.

 

This is Romanov-esque levels of bizarre.

 

Who gives an actual **** - they were both goals we lost??! Surely it’s worse if our defenders are spooning the ball into their own net?

Getting all too common now tbh, anything decent that the team does is expected, nothing to see here. 

Even the first 30 minutes today, wasn't us doing well, celtic were playing shit. 

 

Anything negative is rounded on and discussed to a death. 

 

Pretty Tragic that some of our own fans can't say beating Motherwell away was a decent result while also saying we need to get league wins soon and fast.

Struggling passed part timers isn't a positive for me, it a worry. First half v motherwell we were great, 2nd half we let motherwell come at us, bizzare change in tactics when you are on top but we're through. As for the first 30 mins today, not that i expected anything from today but a game is 90 mins long, playing well for 30 means jack shit really.

We qualified from that group, we beat Motherwell in the next round, we’ve got Aberdeen at home in the QF, a winnable fixture. Looking back is pointless now.

 

I don’t think Ann was referring to him as manager, I think she was referring to what he has done so far at Hearts. She’ll move him back upstairs if we don’t win our next two home games.

People miss the point completely.  We never do enough to get in front and we are always left chasing. By then, the game becomes too open and we can’t control what we fought to achieve. When you initially let the opposition get a foothold and gain confidence, they’ll always feel they can get back at you.  We rarely batter a team into submission these days and make them feel overcome. 

 

We don’t do the key things well and haven’t for months.  I thought today’s team looked as strong as it could but I was still left wonder who could get us goals?

 

We still don’t have a natural finisher, there’s no one from the bench that makes you think...”I’m glad we’ve got him to come on”.  Our wide men rarely threaten, supply or score. It’s grim.

I went through today expecting nothing and that was what we got. I did hope that once the manager and the coaches got back up to Riccarton after the Motherwell game they would have watched the video of that game and the way we played, realised it worked for us and used it as the basis of how to approach games going forward. Unfortunately today we reverted to type in Glasgow, sat back and admired the opposition, an opposition who in all honesty were poor and there to be beaten, and they didn't have to play awfully well to beat us. If we had gone in at half time with the game tied at 0-0 I think their fans would have given them a rough response to what they had seen.

 

When you are playing against such a poor Celtic side and don't attack them you can't then complain about the end result. Three interesting fixtures coming up, two home games versus Hamilton and Motherwell, before the visit to Easter Road. I'd feel a bit more confident about the two home games if I hadn't gone to the home game against Ross County when the nicest way to describe that was pure and utter shit, one we could have and probably should have lost.

I take it you don't really think we played well today do you. If we had approached that game in the same way we approached the recent cup tie we could have got a result today. Instead we sat in, which has become the norm in Glasgow. One could argue that Celtic didn't have to try too hard today, but that wasn't down to them that was down to us. Today was one of those games that if it had ended 1-0 us or 1-1 it wouldn’t of flattered us nor did 3-1 them flatter them. We didn’t do much in the last third in a very flat and slow tempo’d match but neither did Celtic. Someone said they played at 30% today - insanity. Today was as much a case of our midfield coped with theirs no bother at all thats why they weren’t pounding us. I haven’t reseen the second goal but first glance it looked like the headed clearance just couldn’t be reached by Damour , McGregor cut inside and hit a pinger. The first was diabolical. Either of them should of taken charge. The third was just too easy for them but on other days the deflections go wide. Outside the penalty we tried to walk the ball in instead of shooting and that has to stop. Seen far worse , far more insipid , more defensive performances in Glasgow than today
