Good stuff

Though a block of just under 100 nice seats has been released in W22 and 14 in W11

Why do these random wee blocks of seats keep appearing in the nice section!? is it that the hospitality is not selling as well as expected and those seats were included in the deals?

Seats were held back for each of the various hospitality packages, I would guess. Then people buy the hospitality packages who already have their own seats elsewhere. When the package sells out, the club releases the seats

I don't think we'll sell out but even if we only manage to sell another 1,000 or so between now and KO, 28k is a terrific effort. I didn't think we'd get over 25k so I hope I'm wrong again and we manage to shift the lot!

Celtic not sold out yet, their ST holders (allowed 1 ticket each) never bought all the allocated tickets so announced today that ST holders can buy another seat!

To be expected when you look at the number of season ticket holders they have.

Already we have sold double the number that we have.

What blocks have still to go on sale as I've lost track?

Also I've got a spare one in S6 Row A as one of our group can no longer make it.

rest of w4 looks like its on sale now, am i correct in thinking once these tickets are gone we have only got to open w6 & w8? not sure we will sell out but what a response, the club fought to give us 50/50 split and we have responded in numbers!

Jalbo's report just after 5 should be good.

Anyway, Theyve sold 30,000. We so far have officially sold 26,000.

Plus the beaks, sponsors etc. (Is that around 4 or 5,000?)

Total thus far around 60,000+ or so?

Celtic are a multi-national terrorist organisation.

Hearts are a football club.

It's not really a surprise they've sold more than us (so far).

What a gesture, nothing surprises me really when it comes to this great club, and the fantastic people that run it.

We must sell this out!

Wonderful gesture by Mrs B - is there a way that I can buy another ticket and donate it directly??

Would it be possible to contact Big Hearts and offer to donate the cost of a ticket, or adult and child tickets?  I'd be up for this.

This be one of the biggest ever Celtic supports at a semi final. Maybe the biggest ever in game not versus Rangers which is a rare occurance in a semi final anyway.

Be interesting to see when they got bigger crowds in a semi final.

For example Hearts v Celtic League Cup semi Hampden 1976. Crowd under 22,000.

'evening all,

10pm count:

West Stand - currently selling everything except W6 and W8:

Allocation currently on sale: approx 11485

Seats remaining:  604

Seats apparently sold - West Stand: 10881

Hearts End (South Stand) - currently selling everything

Allocation currently on sale: approx 11588

Seats remaining:  35

Seats apparently sold - South Stand: 11553

East Stand - currently selling everything

Allocation currently on sale: approx 4757

Seats remaining:  0

Seats apparently sold - East Stand: 4757

Total seats currently made available for sale: 27,830

Total seats remaining: 639

Total seats apparently sold with the usual caveats:  27,191**

**Including grey'd out hospitality, wheelchair, blind and PA sales, it looks as if we could currently be around 27,500 tickets sold.

The remains sections to go on sale are W6, W8. The combined capacity of those two sections is 2,234 suggesting our total allocation could be just under 30,400 including hospitality, wheelchair, blind and PA seats. So total tickets left, including those unsold in current sections, is 2,873. Including the approx 170 seats released today in the West (and a single row in the East), we've sold around 757 since yesterday teatime - if that becomes our average between tomorrow and Saturday, we'll sell all our tickets.

Without trying to get ahead of ourselves,  the total allocation between the clubs appears to be 62,000, with just under 1,000 for segregation, suggesting there's about 4,000 tickets for SFA/SRU guests, debenture holders and so on. There is now a possibility that this match could see the highest ever attendance for a football match in Edinburgh IF we can indeed sell the least couple of sections out and IF the SFA/SRU seats are filled.  Caveats to be applied of course!

On 2nd January 1950, a record Hibernian attendance of 65,860 was set in an Edinburgh derby against Hearts. This attendance is also a record for any football match played in Edinburgh.

Murrayfield official capacity is 67,144, so only 1,283 seats can be used for segregation or left unsold, if we are to take the record away from ER

As far as I can see, segregation is taking up 928 seats, which leaves around 66,150 usable seats once the limited-view seats near the screens at either end are taken into account .IF both clubs sell their entire allocations, AND all other seats are filled by the the SFA/SRU., it looks to me as if we can eclipse the 1950 Derby which currently holds the record.  However, there may well be things we just don't know that may render that possibility un-achievable.

Not sure last nights result will make any difference, going by how the last few months have gone it would be strange that an away win to Dundee is the tipping point at which someone decides to buy a ticket.

As the game nears and media build up starts there may well be a few fans deciding to go who don’t usually go to games picking up tickets later on the week. Pretty sure I read we’ll be selling them up to kick off (including sunday morning)
