Ajax are a joy to watch. They give me the joy that European competition provided when I was a kid.

They are brilliant, wish I'd watched this game from the start.

They are fantastic viewing. Should be 4-1 up.

You know you are getting on a bit when you can remember the great Ayax team of the early 70’s.

I hate modern football. Too much money kicking about for players. A few clubs with disgusting wealth ensures no one is allowed to compete.

Wish wage and signing on fee caps would be brought in. Sticking a ceiling of 100k p/w would seriously reign things in and put clubs like Ajax on a par again with the super wealthy (at least to some extent).

Pretty sure I read it was practically 99% done too.

Not sure how much though.

Similar to the Monaco situation a couple of years ago. They had mbappe, bernardo silva, mendy, bakayoko, lemar and more in the same team and got the champions league semis. Picked apart that summer and look at them now. That team was probably better than this Ajax one tbh.

Ajax should be well out of sight.

I've not seen too much of them, they've been pretty good but wasteful on occasion.

Pretty good? Tough taskmaster. They've just played Juve off the park in Turin.

Thought Juve looked pretty poor to be honest. What impressed me with Ajax was the pressing of the ball. Did it in packs. Should have had a couple more.

Sounds like they are going to get ripped apart in the summer.

Hands up from me.

I thought Juve would win the damn thing, I was wrong, and Ajax were superb all over the park.

Barcas cup now though.

Yes Klopp will be thinking the same never mind Pep and co

Even Manchester United beat Juventus in Turin so just how good are Ajax

Loved watching them in the last couple of rounds and they played well in the group stages BUT now we will see just how good they are and as for Barcelona if you have Messi you have a chance, add Suarez and players like Coutinho and Dembele and you have a real chance.

If Liverpool can qualify for the last 4 then we will see a battle Royale and the return of Suarez and Coutinho to Anfield...mouthwatering

Tuesday 16th April 2019

Barcelona v Manchester United. (agg. 1-0)

Juventus v Ajax. (agg. 1-1)

I'm going for an away win in the Camp Nou and a home win in Turin tonight. Manchester United and Juventus going through.

Wednesday 17th April 2019

FC Porto v Liverpool  (agg. 0-2)

Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur. (agg. 0-1)

Going for an away win in Porto and a draw in Manchester tomorrow evening. Liverpool and Spurs both progressing.

Can you predict a 4-0 for Celtic in the sc final please.

Or a 6-3.

Ajax showing what a strong youth academy and astute signings can produce. I hope they win it, although Barca are stronger than Juve or Real.
