We had a striker lined up from the Championship, however the guy changed his mind at the last minute which really pissed off CL.

I was quite pissed off as well as it meant we only had a good transfer window rather than a very good one. ?

This was during the window. He was close to coming on loan.

He's maybe the trialist today. Makes sense to see if he's still got it after a few difficult years for him

Correct.

He was set to come here on loan but it fell through last minute.

Re Sammon, if he was ever to come back to us, ( And I very much doubt it,) the first time he misplaced a pass, he would get slaughtered !

I think we are the last team he'd want to play for. He's got his confidence back at 'Thistle', and it wouldn't last 5 minutes at Tynie.

Not ALL our fault but the stick he got was ridiculous. Booing as he came on the park. Unforgivable.

Our fans with Sammon were as poor as I've seen in years tbh. He was getting berated in a Europa League qualifier!!

He is better off where he is for his own sake

To whom it may concern,

I am still waiting on my "cheeky PM". Please do not leave a brother hanging.

Yours faithfully,

A concerned JKB poster.

All Sammon had to do was prove people wrong.

Stick the ball in the net.

But he didn’t.

Its more his fault than anyone elses.

Are either worth being excited about?

Partly, yes. Well not “our” exactly. Only the simpletons who boo Hearts players on to the pitch.

Was watching the 6-0 St Mirren game Scott posted about the other day and was thinking about if some of those touches had been at Tynie nowadays it would be boos even at 3/4-0.

Totally. Modern supporters seem to think the best way to get a performance out of a player is to make him feel more pressure and less support.

Sir Vladimir of Romanov

Are some of the people asking for a pm not the same people who moaned about posters potentially hurting hearts chances by discussing it here?

lets not make Sammon out to be a world beater, when he was here he was lazy and couldn't trap a bag of cement and his first touch was his only touch, he stands over 6 foot and when he jumped he was under 5 foot, the man was a non trier and should never be allowed to pull on the jersey again, I never booed him but understand why others did.

Mixed bag. There’s a lot of good control in windy weather and on a tattie field.( seen worse mind)

Players just seemed to take the ball better back then.

Got me thinking of Hearts street football initiative.

Nobody is making him out to be a work beater. Not one single poster.

He was nowhere near lazy. That is the one thing you could not accuse him of.

I never booed him and think those those who did are ****ing morons.

Funny how we can see things so differently.

Totally agree

He may have been a different player in this CL team.
