Student ID and Railcards aren’t legitimate forms of ID ffs. 😂

If they have a photograph and a DOB, then they are valid in my eyes (as they are in pubs etc.).

Why is an older person's bus pass or an Oyster card valid, while a younger person's isn't?

I’m guessing to get your bus pass you actually have to prove during application using other checks you are the person at said address and in the photo. Not all student id’s or railcards have dob on them and certainly not id or address checked in any way.

Scandalous. Deliberately trying to prevent the demographic who historically don't vote for them from being allowed to vote.

The Mighty Thor

The utter desperation of the Junta.

The continuation of their fascistic agenda.

Boundary changes.

Voter suppression

Meanwhile you can pay a fiver for your dug to pick the next prime minister in the Tory vote.

Hopefully they get the chasing they deserve.

The new legislation will only apply in UK elections.  "Scotland only" elections are unaffected.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is a wholly undemocratic piece of legislation. Any politician who considers themselves to be democratic should be looking at ways to maximise the voter franchise, not to exclude those who might be considered more likely to vote against the government.

If my assertions are wrong, then what is the problem that the government is trying to fix?

Is it widespread voter fraud? Is so where is the evidence of it that makes such a law change is necessary.

Agreed actually as it paves the way for ID cards which we should never have.

Nadine Dorries, Alok Sharma, the Cop26 president; Alister Jack, the Scottish secretary, and Nigel Adams are set to be on Johnson’s resignation list and being made Lords/Ladies.

However, this means they'd have to step down as MPs and trigger by-elections, so they're being pressured into not accepting the Ermine cloaks.

:turmoil:  The Junta are running scared. Feart of the voting public.

Spot on, waste of time and money. Perhaps it's a step towards a national ID card and that is the actual prize in mind?

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan on Breakfast TV this morning saying Sunak has shown great judgement and integrity so far, then trying to bring Jeremy Corbyn into the debate. Utter desperation and that waste of space Sally Nugent should have slaughtered her.

Still trying to scare the public with JC

He's not the Prime Minister

He's not the leader of the opposition

His faction are not in control of the Labour Party

He's just a voiceless backbencher but that's good enough for the Junta to scare the blue rinse brigade.

Just wait until election time.

They'll steal your Brexit.

They'll let the unions run riot.

They'll tax your savings,  pension,  estate,  house,  garden,  dog.

They'll go into coalition with Scottish people.

Half of the UK's £60 billion fiscal black hole was caused by Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng's fecked up budget.

£30 billion lost in one week.

Enjoy paying that back, plebs.

I P Knightley

We've got George Useless admitting that he and his colleagues would ignore the evidence of their own eyes to make a statement supporting Truss and her crappy deal.

We've got Raab ducking a raft of allegations about bullying young female staff. Bizarrely, Sunak got a bit behind him on that one, increasing the risk of being caught supporting wrong 'uns.

Braverman is still riding it out; claiming success for chucking another £8m at a deal first set up by May and having delivered little to no results over the years.

It's no wonder that the country looks ready to ditch them at the first opportunity; even though Starmer is so bland.

Seems that Ritchie Rich's wife hasn't divested her holdings in Russia.

She's still operating a business in Moscow.

"My wife's money is nothing to do with me", says the shameless shitebag Prime Minister.

The old "It's in my wife's name" excuse never gets old with this arsehole.

Umpteen documentaries over the years have highlighted the utter shitshow that is private slum landlords and hee haw has been done to reign these wankers in...by successive governments. It's an absolute disgrace.

I think it was a housing association in this case rather than council...although I am not certain so happy to be corrected
