ah the classic of this mob.

I'm sorry if you were offended. Not sorry for doing it, just sorry it offends you.

Shooter McGavin

So Boris apologised for the “impression” the video gave.

An absolute farce, good luck finding anybody to adhere to any further restrictions.

There's some speculation as to where the video clip came from. Seemingly there may be more to come.

Cummings' revenge?

Apparently Carrie Antoinette threw a party to celebrate getting her way.

Her husband can't remember if it happened or not and if it did all rules were followed and he's also sorry if you're offended by it.

Reform party being tipped to poll well, apparently BoJo and Gove were both planning to campaign. A number of those that would be king are apparently on maneuvers, I suspect defenestration beckons. This is Barnard Castle on steroids.

Johnson has already been up there - and got booed - but it wasn't shown in the media.

The Labour candidate has stood down and told everyone to vote Lib Dem.

If the LibDem / Labour vote holds they won't need any swing from the Tory vote to win the seat.

"I'll ask the cabinet secretary to investigate"

"I've investigated it fully. Everything was fine. No rules broken. You may return to watching I'm a Celebrity....."

I thought this was a missed opportunity by KS -

so far the PM, Deputy PM, The Chairman of the Tory Party and the Cabinet Secretary are all telling the country they don't know what happened and they have never asked anyone in the party what did happen. It beggars belief.

So it'll all be passed to the Cab Sec (who has no legal powers whatsover and has apparently not even asked a single question until now ) and if he finds any eveidence of wrongdoing it'll be handed to the Met. They're going to investigate themselves and decide if the law was broken.

But the Cab Sec will have to power to call allegra Stratton and question her?

I'm still asking myself why the Met isn't questioning , for starters, Stratton under caution.

Never mind Bojo and his denials/non apologies. The worst is Ermine Ruth saying with a straight face that Torys play with a straight bat😂😂😂😂. Her neck couldn't be marked with a blow torch

Allegra has been caught in the boiling chess pit lies and obfuscation of this corrupt government. She was only just in the door. She has done the right thing and resigned.

If I ever get accused of wrongdoings or even a crime by the Police can I defer the investigation to a person of my choosing?

Few days later my Mum could then address the media with "My boy is a lovely boy. He's done nothing wrong and I should know....I'm his Mum. He wouldn't lie to me. This is all just nonsense now away you go"

An interesting Tweet from Peston -

@BorisJohnson

at #PMQs put his press office in an impossible position by saying he has been “repeatedly assured” there was no Christmas party on 18 Dec, because the party included numerous press office officials - who have to field press questions on whether there was an unlawful party. This is one of the worst conflicts of interest I have ever encountered. If they want to keep their jobs and reputations, official press spokesman have to tell journalists there was no unlawful party. This cannot inspire public trust

Bit disappointing with Allegra Stratton.

Was hoping for a Downing Street Garden press conference and the use of some implausible excuses to explain the party.

Just read that Allegra Stratton is married to the political editor of the Spectator and the best man at the wedding was Rishi Sunak.

Wonder if old Dishy Rishi was aware of this party?

Usually its hoped a sacrificial lamb takes the heat off. But she was a minor player in this only providing more evidence a party took place.

The problem seems to be this is just the start with loads of illegal events taking place last year many of which were attended by the Prime Minister. Just need to get the evidence.

Far better to come clean now.

Well, was being slightly facetious but you do wonder if anyone is going to start asking the main players what they knew.

Currently they are trying to brush this off and hide behind an investigation but the opposition need to keep the heat on and put more of these shysters on the spot.

I still think there is more stuff to come out but whoever is leaking is letting them hang themselves and then dropping more revelations.
