Eno
Resurfacing the road a couple of days before we bring a couple of monster cranes down it. Yip, that makes sense .. That was my thoughts also. Let's re-surface Mcleod Street just before it has full on construction traffic for at least a year! That's the council for you (unless they're worried the existing surface isn't up to all the said traffic?)

graygo
Thank you for the offer. I may take you up on that when we get fresh pics! So far we have permission from: kila Footballfirst Dannie Boy Mr Sifter I'm putting the list here to remind myself as much as anything else... We've had lots of new joiners, hopefully that'll lead to more pics being posted as well! Why just joiners? Brickies can take photos too. kila
How do they plan on us entering the Main stand tomorrow? Are we walking through the truss?! Or around it? http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/news/5719 Due to the ongoing re-development works at Tynecastle and the associated changes to some points of access and egress, fans seated in the Main Stand are asked to come earlier than usual to the game on Wednesday evening to minimise queueing. New routes from McLeod Street have been prepared for access to the Main Stand turnstiles and this will enable fans to become familiar with the new arrangements needed as the new stand development continues. Fans seated elsewhere in the stadium are also asked to take the most direct exit route from the stadium. One of the prime considerations over the next few games will be to reduce the number of spectators exiting directly onto McLeod Street. We very much appreciate your co-operation and thank you all for your understanding in advance.

Mars plastic
Wind forecast for tomorrow?? Due to be about 25mph. Cranes can't operate if the wind is more than 19mph. The daily cost for having the cranes on site is astronomical so fingers crossed it's done and dusted by tomorrow.

They're currently on the outskirts of Edinburgh and should be on site tomorrow around 7am. The lift should start around 10am, all being well. Mr Sifter
Just passed down McLeod St and got a quick word with two of the boys working for the crane company (Mammoet). They confirmed it won't take them long to 'rig' the crane up, then we should be fine for the lunch time lift. Good to see them oot graftin early doors!! ...I was actually a right sad git and googled "Mammoet" in a bid to try and see the crane they'd be using...but they've got four or five different types. So that was that...
Erik
Ahhhhhhh what a lovely feeling - today is going to be a good day. Basking in the glory of a demolition of The Rangers whilst salivating over the prospect of the mighty truss being hoisted in to its new home looking down over the hallowed turf. As far as Thursdays go, this one ranks pretty highly!
