Can we have a poll on the colour of the pressure plates?

They only come in mill finish aluminium I'm afraid - you can however have the next big debate on the colour of the caps.....

To be honest, I can't imagine Craig Levein being too happy if he found out he was getting it tight on here by one of the major subbies on the new stand.

He loves the curtainwalling.......

King Of The Cat Cafe

I was deactivated last night for some unknown reason - no response from the Mods but back on now.

I know it is just August, but I would like to propose Thomaso for the "Kickbacker of the Year Award".

How thin will the face caps be compared to the pressure caps that are appearing just now?

Same width give or take a couple of mm

Has my vote, but only if Levein presents it to him. :D

Lucille's Thirsty

I can't quite get too grips how things off the field are so good yet things on the pitch are ghastly.

Kila you're pics are fantastic could be a new Peter Parker on our hands.

So if we do play at Murrayfield will there be a reduced capacity or will we be able to sell as many tickets as we want? A good start to season I can see 20000+ at this game if it's played there.

It be great if we could lower ticket prices to try and just get as many folk in as possible.

Just came across this.

I'd heard about the so-called plan for a 100,000 seater in Sighthill in the mid-1930s, but hadn't seen actual plans before.

Think some pesky German boy put an end to any hope of it becoming a reality.

Apart from coping with declines in attendances this could have solved a lot of problems

We're there actually 2200 cars in Edinburgh in 1930? I suspect a hoax.

Don't know about the cars but that is a genuine authenticated document

Definitely not a hoax.

Re the cars - there were 2.5 million cars in the UK in 1934. If Edinburgh had its fair share, I reckon we must have had well over 20,000.

Pretty revolutionary of the club to propose a 100,000 capacity 1970's office block 40 years before 1970's office blocks were a thing!

It's more Saughton rather than Sighthill, as the farm and church are across from where Stenhouse School is now.

Some I took walking past this evening

Looks like the permanent face caps have started going in on the facade by the Gorgie end

Sorry not been through whole topic. Can someone tell me why these panels are maroon and red at either end of the stand ? Genuine question.

IIRC from the last time we saw these plans Buffalo Bills childhood home would never have been built had the stadium been built

Anybody know when the material was meant to arrive from Korea?

Assuming it is over due with all this talk of Muddayfield

Was it not due next week or the week after.

That's got to be good news then , unless they have been informed it's behind schedule.

The red is baffling. Why red and not a different shade of maroon? Looks wrong.

People don't like that effect with the Roseburn seats...
