I understood this to mean that the new strip wasn't a template. Although I did like the Puma template with the collar. Seems weird that they're not showing the full kit...where are the shorts and socks? It's almost like they forgot about making a new kit and slapped something together hastily at the last minute so they could take a photo with the new signings. Nobody liked the neck on last seasons, the've sorted i this year, it's a nice maroon with not too much white which we have been guilty of in the past... I don't know what folk expect... Can understand why folk feel they don't want to pay for something that is similar to last season's, but given the rumours that the Inter Milan away kit is making a return maybe folk will send their cash that way instead. Keep kidding myself they'll change it up a bit and have thick white band at the bottom, not too dissimilar to Evertons third kit last year (olive green with a black band). Think something like that could look quite smart. Wishful thinking though, as it'll probably be all over maroon. Still a cracking kit regardless.
