That`s why Sow shouldn`t play there. It`s no excuse really but at the end of the day he just doesn`t seem to have the natural defensive awareness and focus or certainly struggles to adapt his brain to it. I think this is the problem which has arisen and alot of people spoke of, that we are basically accomodating players as not to disrupt happiness. Surely you can't be in a position to judge after two games? I didn't see today's game so no idea how he played, but last week he did fine (although a bit quieter than Juanma). Based on yesterday it would not be possible to say he was far superior to McHattie. He was a weak link in a poor system and performance and was taken out of the back four. A genuine feeling that would provoke that reaction is just not possible in a few days and 90 minutes of football. Professional footballers doing it for effect is cringeworthy. I watched the highlights and there was a couple of close ups and he was clearly struggling for breath. In hindsight maybe would have been better starting on the bench. Given that we won the match, I think in hindsight it is good that he got game time, even if not 100% fit. Should strip fitter if selected for the Motherwell game. He will be one of our best left backs of all time in my opinion. Once he gets up to pace, we will see the player he can be. He needs games. but sometimes after a debut and there being a game straight away it's good to take things in from the sidelines. Wouldn't bother if he played but playing then taking things in is all part of the learning. As I say though, he could play and it might just be the right thing to do but I'm sure he's happy to just get his debut under his belt even if it means training is more important just now. This for me. Rossi has been excellent since he arrived, I wouldn't be benching him, personally. If ?zt?rk struggles a bit again, I'd drop him before Rossi every time.
