YouGov exit poll different: Cons 281; Lib Dems 31. Dunno the other ones atm.

At least one polling company to be embarrassed at the end of the night!

That's some exit poll if true , Scotland's exit not far behind .

Labour will lurch further rightwards would be my guess .

Three cheers for the SNP!

Vote SNP, get Tory

Even if every SNP seat had gone to labour they would still have 19 fewer seats than the Tories. Making your statement ridiculous.

Referendum 2 before 2020.

:pleasing:

Hopefully another coalition. Im SNP, but id rather another ConLib coalition. Id rather a Conservative/Liberal government with a plan, (be it good or bad) than a Labour lurching from crisis to crisis. And another tory government means further push closer to independence, but thats another debate

Hopefully Jim Murphy gets the boot as MP and as Labour leader. Hopefully he doesnt get the chance to run as an MSP either

A coalition with the Lib Dems would have been feasible.

Not really, Labour and the Lib Dems getting annihilated will have caused that if those figures are correct. The Scottish seats will have made little difference overall.

Lib Dems obliterated.

:jjyay:

Yet they'll still have more say that any of the other parties (bar the tories).

I won't be holding my breath for the end of public sector pay freeze though.

What are you banging on about? Even if all 59 scottish seats went to Labour they'd still be getting beat.

All roads lead to Gorgie

If it is 58 - anyone know which area is odd one out?

I would hazard a guess Shetland and Orkney or one of the Borders seats . I still don't believe it though.

This is exactly where I am.

If that exit poll was correct then which seat did Labour manage to hold in Scotland?

The best thing about this SNP domination (if it materializes) will be that Labour in Scotland have an opporchancity to cleanse itself and get back to some real proper Labour values, with real proper Scots Labour types at its head

Likely to be Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk.

Lib Dem or Tory

edit : No chance of 58 seats, mind

They'll have contributed a lot more to the world than you, turning up at a public meeting to harass the speaker.

Then they'll make an arse of themselves and get voted out in five years time (or sooner).

You might want to calm yourself down now, your night is not going to get much better, it looks like.

So folks, do we watch BBC One Scotland, or the national one one BBC 2?

Guessing BBC One Scotland will just be on Scotland? I'd like to get the whole picture tbh, think Dimbleby is the man for me?

I have repeatedly told you the sequence of events that night and you refuse to accept them, bleating out the fiction version of events that the media spat out.

You're beyond help.

It's badly wrong.  Edinburgh South at least has been held by Labour.  And quite rightly so as Murray has been a great MP.

Oh aye: that YouGov one that I and others mentioned is actually just an online poll taken today, not an exit poll.

:wow:

edit: but I agree that I think it is more likely than the Ipsos-Mori poll.

Being a bit more parochial I'd love to see Murphy get it jammed right up him.
