I've been watching Superstition on Netflix. Not fantastic but enjoyable enough if you like your supernatural thriller type things. The usual American small town with a secret world of dark creatures etc. I suppose it is slightly different from the norm that most of the main characters are African-American.

Safe, on Netflix was a really good watch.

8 episodes fly by.

Watched the first two episodes last night. Seemed decent although Dexter with that accent took a bit of getting used to.

These have probably been mentioned so apoligies if i repeating others recomendations.

Just finished The Terror - Enjoyed it but did not live upto the hype

Currently half way through Lost in space, really enjoying this but its a bit more of a colony survival drama than a space sci fi.

Noticed Into The Badlands has started Season 3, if your into a bit of Kung Fu action and over the top martial arts fight scenes give the first 2 seasons a try, its not epic but it is enjoyable (i enjoyed it anyways)

Billy Walsh

Caught up on season 3 of Gomorrah.

Right up there with The Sopranos as the greatest ever for me.

Just started season 1 of this and the first couple of episodes got off to a promising start. Very decent so far.

It is tremendous. Not quite up with The Sopranos for me though, which I feel had more clever writing and better characters.

While I love how gritty and dark Gomorrah is (it's pretty much a never ceasing torrent of bleakness), it doesn't have likable characters in the same way as The Sopranos did. You kind of loved Tony, Paulie, Sil and co a bit even though they were ruthless *******s. They had endearing qualities too and provided some comedic moments.

Pretty much everyone is Gomorrah is just a ****.

Watched it last night.

A very believable futuristic vision of the world gone mad.

Watching Grimm (based on The Brothers Grimm tales) on Netflix. Onto season 2 now. Thoroughly enjoying it.

Started watching this, enjoying the silliness of it. Then I clocked there are 22 episodes in a season and 6 seasons!

13 Reasons Why- series two

Big let down after the first series. Stupid plot developments, an awful ending and basically, completely unnecessary and probably shouldn't have been made

The ending was an absolute nonsense. The whole second series was full of plot holes and implausible story lines. Disappointed because I liked series 1.

The second episode is the best bit of TV I've seen in a long time from the BBC.

I'm on Episode 3 and frankly its Ludicrous. Full of plot holes and incredibly annoying characters.  It seems to be aa Anglo / American production as some of the spoken dialogue  is very Americanised " Gas " for " petrol"  and talking about " kids "   ( 19 years old !!)  and that family who are hiding the body are just plain bonkers and comical ( not sure if they are meant to be comic relief !!!).   Ill probably give it another couple episodes as I'm curious to see how bad it will get....It just proves the power of advertising though as I only have viewed it due to this.  Although it does have a good cast , in particular Michael C Hall who is an excellent actor but he has certainly did much better than this.  Happily each episode only seems to last 40 mins (again geared to an American audience ).   And finally when did the UK have " gated communities " ????

Watched the first season of Ozark (Jason Bateman) thought it was really good. Binge watched it, as I just couldn’t wait to watch the next episode.

StartUp (Martin Freeman)  just finished season one and so far it’s been a very good watch.

I wasn’t that big a fan of him, just thought he was alright. Then I saw him in Fargo and he’s totally won me over, really good in this too.

"Safe"....avoid at all costs. Its pathetic. I even skipped a couple of episodes and didn't miss a thing. Ludicrious plot absolutely zero suspense.  Talented cast though but like I said awful

I think it has already been mentioned earlier in the thread but +1 for the Spanish series “Money Heist” on Netflix. Easy watching (although most will need to pay attention if watching in Spanish with subtitles)...... I much prefer that over dubbed nonsense.

I highly recommend avoiding Last Man On Earth, an awful waste of life. Thankfully it's been cancelled at last and I won't need sit through any more.

Speaking of sitting through shite, she's finally finished watching Gossip Girl. If you're still putting up with this bollocks, tell her <Spoiler below>

Spoiler

Blair and Chuck end up together, it was Dan all along and we're turning this shit off now.

Only 4 episodes but just finished watching Evil Genius on Netflix. Really good.

Its a true life documentary about a bank robbery/murder that starts really bizarrely.

Guy rocks up to a bank with a bomb locked round his neck and robs the place. Only escapes with a paltry amount ($10k or something) before being apprehended by the police across the street.

You see footage from the banks cameras and as the guy is handcuffed on the ground by the police, someone is actually filming it when the bomb round his neck goes off (horrible as you get to see it).

Was he part of the robbery or a patsy?

The whole story unfolds in the 4 episodes complete with interviews of the accused etc.

Really gripping stuff.

Barry on Sky Atlantic, eight episodes all currently available on demand.

Billed as a dark comedy about a hitman who gets the acting bug.

Watched it over two nights and really enjoyed it.

Best thing I have seen on Netflix for years!

Laughed ma titz aff. Some of the violence is a bit strong but the jokes come thick & fast and the one liners are class.

Yes you have to suspend belief but no more than watching Star Trek or similar.

Just brilliant and only 8 episodes.

Watched the first 2 episodes on your recommendation. WTAF !!!! (in a good way)

Well worth a watch for those who like snappy one liners with their extreme violence.

Happy ! that is.

old school tie

The Deuce. It's set in 1970's New York.

In New York, the violence of the drug epidemic is worsening. Twin brothers Vincent and Frankie Martino become fronts for the mafia while operating out of Times Square, which is also the home of "Candy," a sex worker who turns to the now legal emerging porn industry.

Is Stranger Things worth sticking with? I watched the first couple of episodes when series 1 came out and it all seemed a bit juvenile to me, but most folk seem to rave about it.
