Walter Bishop Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Looking for something new to watch. I've seen all the old favourites like 24, sopranos, lost etc just finished Fringe and currently up to date with Game of Thrones, the following and the blacklist. Anyone recommend something else? (Tried breaking bad but got to episode 5 and gave up!) Quote

Chester™ Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Chicagoland Whats this one about? I second and third True Detective. Watched it last week. Brilliant. For other series: In Treatment Southland (which I'm just about to finish) Any of the Nordic Noir thats been on (The Bridge, The Killing, Borgen et al) Prisoners Of War (the show that Homeland was loosely based on) - second series starts on SkyArts next week. And for an oldie - Homicide: Life on The Street. Quote

jumpinjambo Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 +1 for this. First season in particular is great. Someone recommended this to me on Monday. Currently now on episode 20 of the first series. Some of the acting is a bit wooden, but it's still a great watch. Quote

Vincent B.A Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I watched a decent short series last year called The Fall. It's got Gillian Anderson (from the x-files) in it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2294189/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Quote

Sexton Hardcastle Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Another for the wire. Did seasons 1-3 and only just picked up season 4 after 6 months or so. Stupid move. Season 5 seems a bit slow much like the first. Quote

Steve_Jersey_HMFC Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Absolutely this, my favourite TV show of the last couple years. Just finished season 2 really like House of cards myself Would def recommend the Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Suits, Dexter too Quote
jamie1874 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I quite liked revolution. I watch this too, but to be honest I don't know if I would advise anyone else to watch it. I only watch it as I want to see how it ends and hope it ends at season 2. One of these programmes that started ok, got bad but you need to know how it ends!! I would agree with others on house of cards (especially season 1, 2 starts well then becomes OTT), person of interest & True detective. Ones to avoid are hostages and the following, which started great but now watching season 2 I am desperate for it to end. Quote
Grado Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) Started Suits today its ok not fantastic. The pilot for Bosch on Amazon prime was good has Marlo from the wire and Titus Welliver in it. Edited April 17, 2014 by Grado Quote
