...a bit disco

He's on a ?1.5m tax-free wage with Qatari side Al-Gharafa just now so he'll be taking quite a massive wage drop if he does jump ship for sevco. [emoji1]

So he'd be moving from Al Fuhud (The Cheetahs) to The Fuds (The Cheaters) then, no?

Compensation clearly wasn't an issue! ;-)

We've spent it on a new CCTV system and pumps at auchenhowie.

Forgot that they built Murray Park on flood lands. Not surprised they need pumps. That will cost a fair bit....

Or maybe it's just the case that what we are reading about the world's greatest ever manager hunt is coming from the same source that had Barrie McKay all but signed for Leipzig RB for ?6m!

There are talking about bring in a manager BEFORE they appoint a DoF? I would have thought the DoF would have some say on who the new manager should be. After all you bring in a DoF to run the footballing side so what if the two don't get on?

The Sunday (we are the) People/Daily Sevco have story that Ashley is back on the scene for a takeover bid.  I don't know how he would get round the SFA's dual interest restrictions though.  Then again it might just be Level 42 up to their usual stuff of promoting interest in the club when there is none.

Darren Cooney? @DBSCooney

Zero-hour Mike Ashley plans Rangers putsch on Dave King according to the Sunday People

The People and the Record are sister papers.

It has prompted a twitter exchange between Cooney and Chris Graham which is quite funny.

Suggesting that Ashley's sniffing about again, may just be a ploy to make it look to the Orcs that maybe Kings not so bad after all....

....a diversionary tactic, put in place just before the season tickets get put on sale to the masses.

Couple of things:

1. Cooney tweets "we don't back him" indicating the Record has a chosen side in saga.

2. Graham comes out kicking and screaming at the first signs of Ashley. This tells us quite a lot about his mindset.

Comes across as someone who is desperate for the current regime. If they go he has zero chance to get involved with Rangers in any shape or form.

I despise Ashley too, because if it wasn't for him, they would be even more up shit creek.

The arsehole support thought because of who they were, Ashley should give money and loans, for no return. I wish he told them to feck off then at that point.

Ashely is just a clone of Phillip Green, both unbelievably greedy despicable people.

This could be Ashley's move to oust King, has he been in secret contact with the other directors who've seen through king's bullshit & want him out & would love Ashley's cash injection?.

A decent journalist would do some digging on this story.

I'm sure the other Directors would love an alternative to King, that would either secure or better still return, their investments....

....but so far as I'm aware, the issue over dual ownership was just kicked into the long grass, it's never actually been resolved.

IMO this is only being brought up in the media because the JJ blog has specifically mentioned it twice.  That and the fact Cooney is constantly being ripped a new one on that blog. I'd say a desperate attempt by the DR to look like it's ITK.

On top of that , when you look at what Ashley did at NUFC (club is still saddled with ?100m plus of debt*) , he claims stadium rights income not the club, DoF based in London (rarely ever seen in Newcastle) I don't see that MA is going to be a knight in shining armour. If it's true, of course.

*Presumably that debt was obtained from the usual sources : the sources Sevco has no access to. If MA really is going to pump cash , literally, into Rangers then the fans can expect to pay , once again.

If SevCo sign Pedro Caixinha, they should save money and only give him a 15 month agreement.

He doesn't stick around for much longer (or is found out each time ;))

2006?2007 Al-Hilal (assistant)

2007?2008 Panathinaikos (assistant)

2008?2009 Rapid Bucure?ti (assistant)

2009?2010 Saudi Arabia (assistant)

2010?2011 Uni?o Leiria

According to off the radar Jackson there's 2 unconfirmed stories re Caixinha.

1. He wants the huns to pay the ?300k compensation needed to get his release.

2. Al-Gharafa also want ?300k to release him from his contract.

Either way its going to cost them to get him.. [emoji4]

Indeed, there's something not right with the story.

If the rumours are true, then he would have been installed as the manager by now.

The longer the delay, the longer the issues are not resolver, the more likely they'll come up with some bullsh!t regarding they did all they could to get the man but it did not work out and they end up with their 2nd (cheaper) choice

They want him to reign and walk out.

Then his old club will need to sue for the money, which takes time and opens the way for a lower settlement

This allows Sevco time to come up with the money, as it would merely be added to the "outstanding bills " pile

as opposed to the "?300,000 due immediately or no manager" situation

Oh dear, oh dear. And there was Richard Gordon talking bollox on 5Live this morning , that this guy can't bring his staff with him as Sevco want him to use someone who knows the club.

Phil McIrishman saying Sevco hadn't even approached the club when DR ran the story.  Traynor needs to get his shit together.

Having another squinty at BearsDen. Came across this. They'll never, ever learn...

Disaster written all over it. He will not know our football or be able to afford the type of players needed to play the way he wants and win often enough to secure success. More of an experiment than with Warburton.

Hope I'm wrong but this screams mistake to me. It's time we got practical again. Leave the football philosophies and idealism until we're loaded again like with Advocaat.
